Just watched the 16 minute version on Roosters Facebook site. Still very measured from Trent, but acknowledged there are several areas which need improvement. Said JWH has to fight for his starting spot. Says he is happy with Teddy's involvement and with Cronk. Lots of discussion about Jake. He said Jake was very disappointed with his game last week, said that he was maybe trying too hard. Praised Jakes efforts and brought up the many things he does every game that most people don't see etc. I got the impression that Jake will be given plenty of time to get back on track. but that there had been discussions around what his role is and what he should stick to, hopefully we will see a better service from dummy half this week. He spoke about Radley, praised him as a young player but was quick to say that Victor KNOWS HIS PLACE, as regards to Jake. I think some home truths have been told, maybe not quite an honesty session with all players involved, but the message that Cronk was subtly trying to get across on Big League Wrap, seems to have been taken on board, in a positive way. It gave me a bit more confidence about this weeks game , although I am still worried about FPN.

I must be watching different games than Robbo if he thinks Jake has been our best in a couple of games this year. Fergo and Keary have been instrumental in our wins this year along with flashes of brilliance from Latrell.
Bringing Frank Paul back in doesn't say much for his faith in any of the young forwards we have at the club and if he isn't going to give them an opportunity now when will he.
Since Gus returned to Penrith and built their academy along with Brennan coaching the younger teams with great success surely there are some good young hard running forwards out there on the cheap looking for a crack at first grade. I don't see the value in paying big money for front rowers who play 50 minutes a games because they get inter changed.

"He has struggled to make an impact, and even told Fairfax Media earlier this month he had approached Robinson about playing fewer minutes so he had more energy in attack." so its not friends fault he was playing longer minutes, just robbos odd rotation policy?

if you're good enough..Originally posted by RoosterFanNZ View Postnot sure why radley should know his place, been one of the best performers this season. youre place in the team shouldnt be about age but about your performances and skill level
Imagine Freddy picked Radley for Origin?
QLD picked Smith after only 14 first grade games.
..it’ll be interesting to see

This from Freddy assessing Origin candidates:
"James Tedesco has been a funny one just playing with a different team. And the way they play the only time he gets the ball is when he slips into dummy-half or demands the ball. Maybe he's got to do a bit more of that," Fittler said.
It will be interesting to see how Tedesco plays leading into Origin and also how Trent and the team react to a former Roosters comment on the style of play they use the fullback in..it’ll be interesting to see

"I haven't been attacking as much as I want to and that's been because of a big defensive load and playing big minutes,'' Friend said.
Newsflash, we don't need you to attack. You are no good at it.
Stick to whatever it is you do well and just pass the ball to Cronk.. OK? And if you get good at passing the ball to Cronk we will let you pass the ball to Keary.

Lol Robbo said "Victor knows his role in the team and it's to support Jake and bring energy to the team"
He never said anything about Radley knowing his place, and he's right Radley's role is to be that utility who brings energy, I think calls for him to start are hugely misguided and well off the mark. Radley is doing a good job off the bench for us but lets not oversell that.
The Jake Friend witch hunt is becoming quickly nauseating because people are twisting the story to suit their agenda.

Love how Robbo mentioned challenging JWH by bringing him off the bench and giving Zane the starting role..
In regards to the comment on Radley,I didn’t see anything wrong with it..He just confirmed Radley know his role, and he is there to support Jake..

Great interview, especially at the end how he mentioned about Jake never giving up attitude. SST could be close to a return on Anzac day which is better as I think the team will bounce back tonight as I really think that the Bulldogs weren't that great against the Cowboys but the Cowboys just played terribly.
Klemmer is the key in the forwards and if you keep the runs from Mybe at a minimal then we shall win comfortably. Get the ball to Latrell as much as we can as that is how we got them so easily in the first game as their right side defense is shocking and all teams know it. Matterson to run over Foran all game again is a must..
