G'day everyone i just want to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone on here at the Chookpen having joined back in June i have enjoyed some of the talk and debating.Hopefully next year we will reclaim the premiership trophy that belongs to us and hopefully i can get to a game at the SFS and meet some of you in person and my last words Up the Roosters and see you next year!.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year, and that Santa is kind to you all. (Except those on the naughty list - I'm looking at you King Salvo !!!)

On a more serious note, I work in Cyber Security, and I see and hear a lot of dark stuff. Australia’s national terrorism threat level remains PROBABLE.

Recent extremist attacks have targeted crowded places, and the seasonal festivities present an opportunity for such attacks. In recent times, there have been arrests in Australia that have disrupted plans for such attacks over Christmas/New Year. Recent extremist propaganda is also calling for attacks of this type.

Take care over the holiday period. Enjoy yourselves, but remain aware of your surroundings, look after your friends & family and STAY SAFE !!!

A very merry Christmas to all my fellow Chookpen 'family', and a safe and happy new year to you all. It's been a tough year personally so here's hoping 2018 brings brighter days. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas Day with family and a nice break.

Can't add much to what has already been said. Certainly a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from me to all of the Chookpen. I have enjoyed your comments, banter and good humour. It has made my year a lot easier and more entertaining and informative. We've had a successful 2017 and here's to bigger and better in 2018. My best to you and your loved ones at this special time.
