Home average boosted by Adelaide & Central Coast. Also the bi-annual Anzac day clash.
Doesn't matter because at the end of the day they are still tickets sold and money in the bank but our crowds this year have been pretty poor tbh.
People keep whinging about taking games away but it seems to have been the right move so far.
All about balance though. Club needs to do a better job of connecting with its fans in Sydney. Games on the road are a band aid fix.

We need to continue to keep our crowd numbers up.
With more than half of the teams in the NRL in Sydney, there is the fear that relocation could be on the cards in the future.
If we continue to do well on the paddock and in the stands our future looks bright.
If our standards slip, Nick Politis moves on, and our fans don't turn up to games, we could easily be the first punted.
If you love the Roosters and want them to continue as a stand alone club in Sydney, you should turn up to games.

Tits bring no supporters what so ever. Expecting a crowd on Saturday of 6 to 7,000Originally posted by 4 the all in brawl View PostLastly, I suspect our crowd average will take a hit this Saturday arvo. Would be nice to get 15k on a sunny saturday arvo for our last home game. I doubt it, but happy to be proven wrong.

For starters, they are a one city team so they are always going to have big crowds based on that. You would expect the same for the other one team cities and their crowd figures reflect pretty much the same thing. The interesting stat however is when you take a percentage of their city population in crowd numbers and you see a completely different story.
Based on population support, Nth QLD is the most heavily supported Rugby League city at 8.84% of the cities total population regularly attending games throughout the year.
The next best supported city is Canberra at 3.99%, Sydney at 2.97%, Newcastle at 2.27% and the Gold Coast at 2.4%.
So that leaves Brisbane (the apparent heartland of rugby league) at only 1.5% and the Storm at a terrible 0.47% of their population attending games throughout the year.
Make of it what you will but just because the QLD side plays out of Suncorp and the Broncos have a Maccas burger named after them, doesn't mean Brisbane is the 'heartland' of rugby league.FVCK CANCER

Which would be sad but probably true.Originally posted by Hawkeye View Post

Rare opportunity to see our table topping feeder club in their first finals dig on the undercard too. Manu (unless back to firsts), Nikorima, Cornish, Eloni, Collins and
Garvey all playing. I recall last year's final series where Tetevano played himself into the top squad for this year.
Good weather - should be great arvo of footy.

I love the use of the Steelers logo in that graphic.
As for the Vermin, their brief, over-hyped success in attracting crowds was a fad. Everyone wanted to be associated with the fairy tale.
Also, maybe their supporters became disillusioned when the penalty welfare cheques stopped coming from the referees.

A few more interesting stats on the Roosters players:
Fittest: Mitchell Pearce. A Roosters official said: “without giving too much away, the ground he covers in a game and the fitness testing results is how we’ve come to declaring him the fittest.”
Strongest: Forward Chris Smith dead lifts more than 200kg
Fastest: Blake Ferguson clocked a time of 4.82 seconds over 40 metres.
