Apparently we've signed Jacob Lillyman for 1 season.

I haven't seen this rumour anywhere let alone confirmation. Where did your hear this coggy? I hope it wasn't the lurker.

Please name the 4 players from "Wyong and the 20s" that have the talent, temperament & skillset required to replace them, ready to go in 2018, without weakening our forward pack. Most on here acknowledge we are already one good prop short. Why on earth wouldn't you want to add another quality front rower to the squad?

Whe are improving our aquad by getting rid of these blokes. Carter, KNight and Evans have played bit part all season, we have played without them most weeks, Guerra is a backrower and Radley / Butcher are more than capable of covering for him, Tetavano, Famer Silly and Collins could all play effective roles from the bench, we do not need Lillyman

He's played for Queensland 14 times, so he's pretty familiar with their culture as well.

Then of course, there's always the possibility that Trent and the recruitment team rate him more than you.

Exactly. We've got this 4 page thread going as if it's a confirmed signing. It was a rumour 2 months ago and I can't find anything from the club or in the media to confirm it.

I wouldn't have a problem with the signing though if it's only for the one year.

We should stop trying to find another LOD or another Morley, they've been and now are gone. Lillyman will be just that " Lillyman", and he has done enough over the last so many years to be able to stand on his own merits.
IMO a good signing if true, and sorely needed.

If we do pick Lillyman up for next year I reckon it's a great buy. He's a tough seasoned vet who defends really well in the middle and you just know what you're getting with him every game he plays. Not every player has to be flashy. You don't play that many games in one of the best teams ever (Qld) if you don't have something to offer. The more I think about it the more I like it. He's just a good fit for our side right now.
