Anyone going to the game this weekend I implore you to show support for Shaun be it through making banners, cheering when he has the ball.

Despite everything he has been through on and off the field I believe he is still a Roosters legend and a great clubman.

He deserves a decent send off.

Yep. Couldn't agree more. And I honestly believe the vast majority on here will wish him well. Just not too well.

I wish him well but I hope he has a shocker against us (sorry but we need to improve our for and against).
He will always be a Rooster in my eyes.

Two things have left a sour taste in my mouth over the SKD scenario.

        1) The club needed to give him a proper sending off, I don't care he was terminated. As a supporter group we should have been able to give him the proper thank you he deserved for his 9 and a half years of service through the best and worst years. A poor decision made by those who probably weren't here through those years.

        2) It just doesn't sit right with me that SKD is debuting against us, I know this opinnion will divide people but I think it's a little disrespectful to us.

I will thank and clap SKD as he runs out to warm up but not during the game. I hope he turns in a shocker.

SKD will have a couple of clangers for sure. He hasn't played for months.

I also don't see it as disrespectful. It's pro sport and the Knights are in the business of winning (as bad as they are) so if SKD can help them do that then you pick him.

I think your two points pretty much even out, the club showed no respect to him and the fans by not offering a send off, so no reason why he has too, also his new employer expects him to play when they want him too.

at least the fans get to see him one more time this year at his home ground of ten years.

Hel be good for the night but could still get man of match for the roosters if he has a regular off game with his hands

See I don't think you can hide behind the banner of its a profesional sport. Respect, loyalty and a profesional sport don't need to be mutually exclusive. I think that's a bit of a cop out.

In a lot of Football comps overseas it's pretty much an expectation that a first team player who transfers out mid-season has it written into their contract that they can't play against their former club as a show of respect.

I'm not going to hold a grudge against the bloke he is a legend in my eyes and always will be. It just doesn't feel right.

Goes without saying the Knights haven't done anything wrong by picking him.

i always liked it when our long term roosters went to play in England or France after time with us like Lam to Wigan rather than seeing them running around in another Australian clubs jersey

Bit rough wishing him to be sent off. Seriously I will be cheering his every dropped ball, loose pass and poor defensive read. I might also give him a cheer when they read his name out and when he leaves the field after full time.

How the **** anyone thinks the club owes SKD anything is beyond me.
Pretty sure he was nothing but well looked after by the club in every way possible from day one. I'm certain also the club gave him a glowing report to help seal the Knights deal.
We all have different opinions but i can't see what the club has done wrong

I believe he was released for the benefit of his court outcome. He was always going to be let go at the end of the season, and once the drug possession charge happened, his best chance of getting no conviction recorded was to show remorse, and for the judge to believe he had already paid a significant price for his behaviour. I think he was released, by mutual agreement, before his court case for his own benefit. It was not disrespect by the club, but the best thing they could do for him at the time.

He was always one of my favourites, and I thought he would retire as a one club man and our all time greatest try scorer.

I wish him well, just not against us.

Agree. Sure it'll be weird seeing him in another jersey but we don't owe him anything.
