Obviously had no impact on the result, but how the hell did they play on with him so clearly offside? How the hell didn't they even check it? He was a clear 2 or 3m offside.

he was wearing the correct jersey so he must have been in the right?

I have not seen one piece of footage that confirms him being offside. There are plenty of pics around twitter etc that show when Friend is about to pick up the ball but that is inconclusive.

They should have checked via the video ref though. But if they were going to allow those forward passes why not allow 1 offside

I heard fox talk about Connor being tackled off the ball. No replays. If it was Thurston, it would be on nrl.com

We made one of the oldest players look like Usain Bolt. The chase was disappointing, although Latrel gave him a start and nearly got him. No one else gave chase!

It's called 'peptides' CC. Leopards don't change their spots. He was offside too.

Happened right in front of me. Takes off when ball placed on ground. He was offside.

When are you allowed to take of if it's not when he placed the ball on the ground? If we are going to get real nitty gritty, did whoever played the ball touch it with their foot, or was it just tunnel ball like most of them?

Onside or offside we still passed the ball straight to him.....

I think the source of the annoyance was that it wasn't even looked at. He may have been deemed onside, but surely it should have at least been looked at.
Can you remember Fitzy taking a simliar intercept off our line in the 2002 semi ...the video ref back then scrutinised it for 3 or 4 minutes before deciding.
To take an intercept off the dummy half, unless it's a scratchy play the ball, then surely must always be line ball.
Anyway I take solace in the fact it didn't make much different to the outcome ..... other than every media person blowing smoke up LL's butt !
