    Latest Members update:
Kane Evans to part with Roosters at end of 2017
The Sydney Roosters have today confirmed that prop-forward Kane Evans will depart the Club at the end of the season to take up a three-year deal with another NRL club.

Sydney Roosters CEO Joe Kelly said: “A popular clubman, Kane has been a significant contributor to the Sydney Roosters since he joined the Club as a 17-year-old and we respect his decision to secure his long-term playing future.

“We wish Kane all the very best in his career going forward, however in the short-term, we look forward to Kane continuing to be an integral member of our squad for the remainder of the year,” he added.

“The Roosters have played such a huge part in helping me become the man I am today and I’ll be eternally grateful to Robbo, the players and all the staff at the Club for that and the lifelong friendships I’ve made along the way,” said Kane Evans.

“Looking ahead, I’m pleased to have my future sorted out, but for now, I’m just determined to give my all for the rest of the season and thank everyone at the Roosters for all their support over the years,” he added.

I liked Kane and thought he was good last week but yeah he's probably on a solid contract given his hype as a junior and apart from his 2015 season never really lived up to it.

Wish him all the best as Parra.

I wish him all the best. He is a very popular figure around the boys but if he can secure a 3 year deal and a starting spot somewhere else, than so be it, cant hold you back.

He has so much potential as a front row forward, consistency is key for him and also building up his minutes. I sometimes feel TR doesnt give him enough.

Thanks Kane for everything you did here. I defended you when those idiots on Channel 9 mocked you in your debut game.

I hope he is successful there. I don't think he has much of a future as a front row forward, but could be devastating as a wide running backrower

Can someone make a sign saying, GET ON THE BUS KANE.
I have no issue with him leaving. I don't think he will ever reach his potential.

Sorry big fella...I liked the guy and seems genuinely a nice dude who tries hard...This last two years haven't been as good as when he came out...I hope the fans show their luuurve for the rest of the season. as long as he doesn't make silly mistakes.

Only problem is that he is unlikely to be in the 17.

I like Kane and wish him all the best.

His form sadly for past 2 years did not warrant a renewal given new signings and talent coming through

I think we will regret letting him go.
                            But we can't afford everyone.
