  • props shortage

With Evans ( who has failed to live up to his early career promise) going to the Eels, we have a noticeable lack of quality props coming through. JWH and Napa, along with Liu and Tetevano is not a strong enough rotation. We need an old fashioned hard head prop that has a bit of mongrel in him to lead the charge of the pack alongside JWH. Napa is more like Aidan Tolman, makes his meters and his tackles without being sensational.

Of all the props in the comp I would make a play for James Graham, as the mail is that Woods is going to the Dogs and Graham might be out. He still has two very good years in him at the very least, and I have always been a fan of English forwards, going back to when Lowe played for Manly, and Norton for Balmain.

    Thoughts?

Liu is a fricken grandmother. I've seen mothers more agro with their newborns.

I think the Club is trying to rectify that. They certainly realise it.

The thing that I get upset about with LIU is the way he gets off the tackled player. Very lazily. Very slowly. A lot of players can Con the ref by making themselves look like they are making every effort to get off as quickly as possible. Not our LIU Im surprised he does not get pinged more than he does.

funny that we ditch a forward and we are looking at teddy. i would have thought the club would lose a back to sign a full back. as mentioned we are thin on genuine props.
the roos dont have any stand outs. Lonnie, paaosi farmasilly, jake lewis. not really props. More second row material.
joseph ratabfjvkicyebndkcvhdv is 20 next year from the nyc.

i think we need a prop. time for trent to jet set and find another LOD or morley

There was only one high level forward on the market Tamalomo worth his weight in gold, considering the lack of good forwards

I would take Graham, but I think he is all buddy buddy with Woods these days, and a major factor in Woods going to the dogs. Not much around not already signed up by clubs in good front rower stock, Evans is average, no great loss, Napa still has a long way to go to get close to the wraps on him, so JWH is almost a one man band at the moment, and a big worry going forward to the club.

What about Liam Knight? Or is he still too injury prone? Ruben Porter?

People on here seem to rate Liu but I never got it. Yes he makes his standard every game 20 metre run up the middle always off a quick play the ball but have you ever seen him put on a hit? Drive an opposition player backwards, make yardage once contacted?
We need power up front. We need guys who opposition fear. Liu is a ballerina. Piss this bloke off. He makes a mockery of our jersey.

With Evans leaving and Moa gone too, I'm sure the club must have something up their sleeve.

I quite like Tetevano but he's a little small in stature.

That is pretty harsh dude. Yeah he has been struggling but making a mockery out of our jumper? That is ridiculous. I do agree we could use a monster prop though.

                          Classic.

You've been fired up lately. Maybe we need you out there in jumper no.13.

Dont faint but i agree, Liu is a workhorse and often shows the bigger guys up with his work rate, rarely makes a mistake or misses a tackle, never in the press for the wrong reasons, a team cannot be full of high priced superstars
