Didn't they say possible Achilles' tendon injury? Lucky SST came back when he did if so.

Achilles tendon injuries are usually worse than ankle ligament damage.
Hopefully it is not an achilles tendon injury and just a run of the mill ankle one.
I also hope it is not a syndesmosis one.

He was pointing high up on his ankle to the trainer. So although it's better than an Achilles, it looks like the worst type of ankle injury.

Any ankle injury usually involves ligament damage. Don't claim that as inside info. An ankle sprain is ligament damage, so is a twisted ankle. Even when you break your ankle, ligaments are also usually damaged, same with an achilles injury. I think Rooster6 called it first, high ankle sprain likely.

Syndesmosis is when the tib and fib bones seperate. This joint is held together bu a tendon wrapping the two bones together forminng a stable join. this is know as a high ankle strain. a low ankle strain is a twisted ankle, which is inside the ankle joint.
A achilies tendon tear is when the tendon tears near the tendon to muscle joint. lower part of the calf muscle at the rear of the leg. i guess Syndesmosis

I look forward to hearing an accurate diagnosis and prognosis in the coming days.

It's a shame for him. He was having a good season.
