  • WTF happened on Thurs night

Hey everyone. It's great to be back on line.
So what happened the other night. It was 2016 or worse.

There has to be an explanation.

We could not have been worse.

When Bennett put his starting forwards on the bench I knew what was coming. And of course Thaiday and Sims score back to back.

I'm really worried after that performance

The broncos showed that by spreading their attacking line and forcing us to tackle 1 or 2 on one, we're effed. We miss tackles and we can't stop offloads.

THE BRONCOS SHOULD HAVE WON BY 50.

Also, has Gordon got groin issues? He looks lost kicking at goal

CAn anyone offer any wisdom please?

We could be 4 and 4 very soon. SHYTE.

the defense was horrific and something that is completely unacceptable and I'm sure heads will roll if it continues.

regarding the attack it wasn't surprising at all, the composition of our backline/backrow is flawed, I posted it preseason the lack of creativity from fullback/backrow/centre is going to kill us against the better defensive teams.

our entire attacking structure is based around either Pearce/Keary creating something or individual brilliance from Mitchell or Fergo.

Gordon is a runner who is virtually last in the league over the last 5yrs for try and linebreak assists by fullbacks, Aubo/Cordner/Guerra are workers they barely pass the ball and Fergo is an athlete who struggles with simple catch and pass sweeps.

we have a backline that is based around size and athleticism, if Pearce/Keary are shut down so is our attack.

hopefully as the season evolves, Matterson and SST will get more game time as they provide something different to what we currently have in attack.

Looking at manly play perhaps we both belted the crap out of one another and it effected both teams this week

They played the dogs and had a tough game too...No excuses because of manly.

I was watching head on and the gaps in the middle where you could drive a big Mack through by this team that have been playing average all year, were all of a sudden playing like champions. It also doesn't help that when you start the game the usual suspect steps up and makes a simple error which leads to a try.

What heads will roll? It's not like there's a lot of pressure from below.

Also...and it's the 'Old 5th tackle option' with Pearce...yes they're high but even I could catch that while holding a plastic cup of beer. They're useless. It's just giving the ball back to them. Boyd, Kahu and the other wing were catching them all night like Uate was last week, and they still kept coming. Doesn't Robbo see this? Doesn't Robbo see Cleary or Reynolds(Souths) how they put the bombs? A Johns sees it every week how they do it because I hear it on the commentary, and apparently he's on our payroll, doesn't he tell Pearce how to kick it like Cleary? don't we learn from our mistakes? I swear that at times Robbo is just stuck on the text book on how to play league and doesn't have the balls to try something out of the box.

one more lazy performance from Mitchell and he will be back in NYC, has all the talent in the world but if he doesn't get his head right it means nothing.

After watching them play a top game of footy the week before against Manly even though they lost & then watching them get toweled up by the Broncos was so disappointing,
They should get over an improving Knights & hopefully get things back on track against the Dragons on Anzac day.

If Latrell needlessly bats down another pass one more time I'll cry out like a wench being burnt at the stake.

                    What a braindead play.

Who would you bring up? Don't say Manu. His defence against Penrith was Fergoesque.

For me, the biggest issue was not effectively shutting down the play after contact. All night the Broncos were free to offload after being stopped and enabled them plenty of second phase play with 2-4 of our players still holding on and effectively leaving big holes in the line that they exploited over and over again.

Hunger. We have none. Just kids and leftovers from 2013.

Fast backs , big forwards.... too much to ask I guess.

2016 = 2017. Some farkwitt just made us early favourites

Anyone see Canberra and St Merge today. Enough said.

Btw, we should not be surprised

We all knew 2017 was gonna be similar to 2016.

Still can't kick goals or field goals.

                            SKD MUST BE DROPPED NOW.

We have gone backwards in 6 weeks. Just us and the tigers I think and they have an excuse

Its scary to think that the Raiders are nowhere near playing to their potential yet. No disrespect to them but they played a massively understrength Titans side and got the luck of the bounce quite a few times. They are more than capable of making things happen rather than relying on things to fall their way.

The Merge, nothing for the rest of the comp to worry about. They usually start well but by mid season are in nowhere land and hardly threaten. I would however be worried about the ANZAC day game as they are currently playing in form and with confidence. If we drop the knights game, the Merge will towel us up.
