The Ch9 NRL ad

After seeing that ad on Ch9, and noticed the lack of Roosters highlights, and the abundance of grubbitohs', I'll never watch another game on that channel, even though I had already stopped watching it sind Foxtel had all games live. They can get stuffed.

There is more footage of the Knights & Dragons in it than us, also I have not seen such a massive wank job over the Penrith Panthers than all of my life. Gus's 5 year plan took 7, and yet they are not even certainties to win but everyone at Ch. 9 is so wet over them.

When he did take over as GM look at all the players he let go..... Jennings, Gordon, Coote, Lewis, Grant, Gavin Cooper, Pritchard and many more have either gone on to win a premiership or at least play in a Grand Final where the Panthers are all about Matt Moylan these days but yet the majority of the team is so injury probe....

Either way it should give our boys more motivation to do well this year as we know Ray Warren hates calling roosters games.

When Gus took over at the Panthers the club were an absolute shambles to a Knights and Dragons degree with unmotivated big name players on massively over inflated salaries.

So what he's done with that club has been remarkable. He's brought in some quality players like Peachey, Merrin, Tamou, Te Maire Martin and Latu as well as tied up long term all the key talent that has come through the club like Moylan, Cartwright, Fisher Harris, Blake, RCG and Cleary.

I can't speak for the Nine lovefest because I don't watch that shit anymore now all the games are on fox, but no one can surely deny the amazing job that Gould has done.

We have let a lot of players go who have gone onto play in GFs and win Premierships too (e.g Cowboys and Sharks). All clubs do...
I doubt our players get any extra motivation as to whether a channel 9 commentator loves or hates them. BTW Gus Gould still has a soft spot for us and thinks we are one of the teams to beat.
Whether 9 features us heavily or not is not going to make me wanna slash my wrists and hate the world lol

I'm the same. I haven't seen the ad on Channel 9 because I simply don't watch that Channel very often.

Should be no surprise to anyone that 9 won't put the Roosters up for public display. The dribblers that run that NRL PR machine there wouldn't have a clue. Which is why viewers are deserting them in droves now that Fox shows the games.

Yvonne Sampson saw the writing on the wall, and made the astute decision to move over to Fox where they take their NRL seriously.
