I think if we gave up any combination of guerra,Copley, toops,Evans,Gordon to get one of the most exciting players in the game to add to a backline which would include fergo,Mitchell Watson,we would be in a much better position.

I'm convinced that left centre is Mitchell's best position- at least for the next few years.

I wouldn't mind seeing what Watson could do at fullback at some point.
Latrell has a terrible right to left pass, his best side is the right side at this stage[won't play there in 017], looking at the way Robbo has structured the team we should see plenty of bombs in the oppositions red zone, there won't be many teams that will be able to shut down our ability under the high ball backrowers included..

I think other teams have caught up to us in regards to salary cap management and attracting star players. Perhaps some are even turned off by the goldfish bowl type of existence our players face these days. It must be a lot more attractive to be relatively anonymous vs being followed and photographed all the time.
You agree with everything bud.. Very boring!

No player is worth 1 million dollars. Not even Freddy in his prime. One ruptured ACL/PCL or blown knee or rooted dog and you're down a chunk of change.

In a $10m cap there are absolutely players worth 1m. Smith, Cronk, Thurston, Taumalolo, Sam Burgess, Milford, Inglis, Teddy, Moylan are all worth it off the top of my head.

Freddy and Joey would be worth 1.5m easy. When you look at us pre and post Freddy he'd be worth a kings ransom.

If they were worth 500k in a 3.25m cap then that equates almost exactly to 1.5m in a 10m cap.

It's just basic maths when you account for inflation.

You won't win a comp if you don't have a player close to a million dollars playing for you these days.

Its because of Tedesco's manager we r not signing him.He is the one that got Moses to backflip and seek more money. So its both get effed .

Freddy would have been on a mil more or less back in the day, late 90s. Add 20 years of inflation to that and yeah easy $1.5m now.

Sonny Bill surely would have been on well over a mil also including TPAs etc.

I dont think JT is coming to the Roosters but I think JB is coming to the Roosters & he will be on $1M per season.
Nick or Trent havn''t rang me to tell me this, it's just a feeling I have.

Your kidding ? Freddy was a worth 2 mill we were absolutely useless and hopeless when he didnt play we were definately aone man team for a long period -he was a great player doesnt get the kudos he deserves.

                            Yes & no
Is any sportsman/entertainer worth 1 million a year or 1 million a week probably not but if what ever they are doing generates enough money for them to paid that then why not.

In Australia it's alot but there are blokes playing soccer in China getting 1M a week.
It's a lot of money to be paid per year but they are top players & they give people pleasure watching them play footy.
The TV stations are paying the NRL alot of money for the rights to the games & then the TV station make even more money through advertising & subscribers so it's only fair that the elite players get well payed.

                              Exactly.

Before Freddy arrived we were a shambles. Luckily enough I never had to endure this period. And after he left we were once again a shambles for a few years.

But in between during the Fittler years we made the top 6 for all 9 of his seasons. Making 6 Prelims, 4 GFs and winning 1 Premiership. A remarkable record. And yet whenever he didn't play during this period we couldn't beat a dirty rug.

Now if that sort of record isn't worth 1m+ a season then nothing is.

And yes we should have won more Premierships but just ask JT or Joey how hard it is to lead a team to a Premiership.

He should be the next Immortal as next to Andrew Johns he's the most complete player I've seen. But for whatever reason he doesn't fit the agenda, .i.e not a Qlder. Fmd I even heard Cooper Cronk mentioned as a possible Immortal the other day. Freddy had more talent in his pinky fingers than Cronk.

69 games out of 120 rounds. Tedesco aint worth a million dollars. I love watching him play, but I feel he just gets injured too much

The 6 or 7 million dollar salary cap is a false economy. An absolute ****ing joke. If they keep this view there will be no junior league at all.
