He was a freakishly gifted brilliant off the cuff player. Gould said he could do anything on a football field except play to a structure. Some of his kamikaze hits in defence were pretty memorable as well. He was my favourite player at the Chooks playing 5/8 in 1995. The following year the Chooks bought Freddy & after that I never really thought he got the recognition he deserved. I know Freddy was a champion but I just thought Walker was a brilliant off the cuff excitement machine at 5/8.Comment

Saw Andrew a couple of years ago at the All Stars game at Lang Park, he was getting his photo taken with the Artie statue ... quite a rooster moment right there ... for memory he was still playing league in a Ipswich divisional comp. That fella could do anything on a football field!Comment
