Well I was wrong. They didn't "lose" or "erase" the footage - they simply refused to hand it over.
What a city Brisbane has become.
Has the Intgrity Unit undertaken an investigation to clear any hint of conspiracy?

Seriously, the NRL take the average fan as a 1st Class Mug.

How can we have have this very same scenario repeatedly happen in the same city? Co-incidence?

It's always been one rule for the Broncos, another for everyone else.

They're like a rogue regime up there with the way they control information, gag witnesses and make scandalous material disappear.... they're North Korea basically.

I've stated often on here that the "Integrity" Unit is "integrity" in name only.
They are a sham often investigating the wrong angles without proactive thinking or power to broaden the scope.

Refs, players and officials in the game need to be investigated and matches reviewed to ensure Integrity is maintained and protect the sport. I see no evidence. Many of their investigations are after-the-event cock-ups. The spin doctors control the messaging and media.

          > NRL Head of Integrity Nick Weeks said extensive inquiries had been conducted into allegations that Roberts assaulted a female patron of a Gold Coast nightclub earlier this month.

          > He said that, on the evidence currently available, it was not reasonable to take disciplinary action against Roberts.

          > Mr Weeks said it was disappointing that the nightclub operators had refused to allow the NRL to view footage from the evening in question.

Just a few suggestions Mr Weeks:
          - Maybe interview the lady who was allegedly assaulted
          - While you're at it, interview some patrons
          - Fox has cameras everywhere, ask them for the footage that prompted reports in the media
          - Hand it over to the POLICE rather than doing your own frigging whitewash investigation!!! Ask them to do things like compel the nightclub to hand over the footage, and charge the owner with intentionally impeding the investigation if they refuse to hand it over

Not sure how anything that doesn't involve this can be called 'extensive inquiries'. Actually, it's tempting to refer it to the cops given it's an alleged assault.

            Great post ism22.
            Amazing isn't it.
Time more of wake up to this.

I remember years ago we had sewerage problems. Solution = Ad campaign with men in lab coats testing water in test tubes telling us the water is in great condition. Change the message; don't address the problem

Well well well, no surprises that roberts has no case to answer as far as the NRLIU are concerned. Free to play he is and without a single bit of punishment that I can see despite being a repeat offender. Pearce is an export-grade idiot and has copped what he's copped, whereas Roberts can do what he likes it seems.

I see that roberts has now put himself on the obligatory and ubiquitous 'booze ban.' Yawn.

Silly comment there buddy, Roberts is free to play as he has been found innocent atm but investigations are on going and things could change if he is found guilty.

Surly the police would already be involved if it was a genuine assault case?

If I ran this particular "night club" , buggered if I'd release any footage to some wanker who said he represented the NRL either.

We do have laws in this country people.............even in QLD.

We'll see in due course if I'm wrong 74/75 and if I am, I'll dig up this post and say I was wrong. Until then, I will continue to find roberts' treatment at the hands of the mainstream media and the NRL a study in contrast to Pearce's.

Pearce was on video for all too see, dry humping the local fauna then kissing a women without consent [sexual assault]. You have no argument.

The media feeds us information to influence what to believe in and make a judgment on certain things.
Looks at the SKD domestic violence case - if they really wanted to, they could have pushed a totally different angle and paint an innocent picture.
For whatever reason, the Broncos seem to be a protected species.
We just need one of our players to sneeze incorrectly and it will then be splashed all over the front pages.
