  • Roberts in trouble again (alleged battery of woman in a nightclub)

'Troubled NRL star James Roberts has been accused of forcefully pulling a young woman by her hair at a Gold Coast nightclub.

The Brisbane Broncos centre was out early on Sunday morning after the Magic Millions horse racing event when he allegedly grabbed the woman, causing pain to her neck before he was removed from the club by security, News Corp Australia has reported.'

QLD media can only protect this guy so much. I hope the police review the CCTV footage and charge him with battery if he's done this.

Oh booo hooo it will ruin Brisbane's chances this season. STIFF LUCK WAYNE... stiff mate!!!

What a turd James Roberts keeps proving himself to be. Thank Christ we didn't sign this guy, good player or not. He behaves like an animal and I would suggest that is because he is one.

Let's just take a moment to remember what happened to SKD before just assuming his guilt.

It's that same attitude from the general public towards Rugby League players that saw SKD's name unfairly trashed.

If it's happened before it must be true again.

Geez dude. Its just facts. Roberts record is terrible and he has form, plenty of it. I don't think SKD had previous problems. Did he?

And remember the other round of allegations against Pearce (I think) where some relative of David Morrow's accused him of doing something at a night club, when they went back and checked the CCTV he wasn't involved in anyway.

People are quick to label newspaper articles as fact when in a lot of cases its pure sensationalist journalism at its best

What is fact is that Roberts was kicked out of the night club. Bronco's players don't usually get kicked out of a night club, let alone named in a news limited paper for no reason.

Good luck finding cctv proof. The Brisbane humidity must self destruct the tapes

Does this mean The Roosters will now try and sign him?

Only if he is charged. We don't want cleanskins down this way.

I know this is all said tongue in cheek, but if he is sacked by the Broncos, I doubt the NRL would register him for at least 12 months

Ha. The media is awesome. He has allegedly pulled a girls hair.
The girl hasn't layed any charges. And the coppers haven't acted on any assault claims.
Looks like the club is trying to release him

Nothing will come of it because it's a nothing story.
