i've got to disagree...i don't think option d is true, they have talent, we saw that last year...but a,b and c are definitely true...add in heartless, lazy and shameful!!!!! I was hoping we never saw the sights of 2009 ever again...but here we are again...

I think we were damn lucky to even make the 8 last season. Making the GF masked this fact.

Rather than training hard during to off-season we seem to have bludged, ponced around like movie stars and come back expecting to kick everybody's @ss.

Nothing's changed in 4 years though. 4th, spoon, GF, spoon. We have the talent, but we need the petrol in the tank. Sure injuries are often just bad luck, but I think everything's compounding:
1) We aren't fit, so are more prone to injuries.
2) Our tactics are lackluster and rely on individual performances to save the day... so our stars bust a gut and get rewarded with injuries.
3) We keep getting SMASHED, so get more tired and have to take more hits than other teams.

Unfit, tired, poorly positioned, having a heavy work load and getting smashed by fitter blokes who don't give up just because they are 3+ tries ahead (might as well make it more!) all compound together, increasing the risk of injury.

More connections:
- Injuries mean any tactics we do have fail because we need to try new things we're not prepared for.
- Lots of young blokes with no idea have to stand up (they often do and get hurt because their superiors aren't pulling their weight.)
- People have to play out of position (do we seriously have any wingers or centres? REAL wingers like Uate make us look STOOPID out wide.)
- The fans get p!ssed off, so the players feel bad (instead of motivated)
- We lose a LOT of games and become a joke... this becomes a habit.
- BEER is man's only friend in such times (thank God our only 2 incidents this season have been Carney and Watts.)

Yeah... all connected IMO... the rust just gets worse as the season goes on. A little like my 1977 Mini - you can spray paint over the rust but it keeps eating away underneath. The only real solution is to sand it back, fix your rust, protect the metal, prime it and then paint it. Anything else will just give you the same Sh!TTY rust box, which won't fool any pink slip officers.

Last year was an aparition. These guys are predominantly rejects and salary cap squeezouts from other sides. Combine that with a few lazy canoes, Braith Anasta's salary cap theiving, Carney doing nothing, and Politis' interference at all levels, and you have the Roosters circa 2011.
