First on @7NewsQueensland Dale Copley being shopped by the Roosters with Titans front runners to sign him @josh_massoud

Thoughts? I do think we have a lot of backs

Thank god for that. Up there with Fatty Vautin as one of the most useless signings for the RWB.

Dont let the door hit you on the way out..

Dale isn't going to be missed by the chooks.Seems like somebody is cleaning up the mess that the recruitment and retention dept created the last couple of years.Wonder who is running things now?

        I hope this is true.

What a truly bizarre signing that was.

Thank God. We need to start cutting cap space out wide. He was a ridiculous signing. Wouldn't hurt to let Gordon go elsewhere and bring manu straight up either. Not sure what latrell learns from Gordon on the field that he can't learn from mini off the field.

Yeah, mind you it was almost worth it to see him show up Roberts, and hear the broncos pty ltd fans crying.

Gordon should provide experience and direction in defence from the back. Doubt he was signed as a mentor for Latrell at all.
He could be what the team needs for the short term.
And then theres the goal kicking.
Will never understand why the club let Jimmy walk.

Gordon is good positionally but if he plays fullback we will certainly miss latrells tackle busting and ability to lob up anywhere on the field. Gordon doesn't offer much returning the ball.

We must have some big name signings targeted for 2018 , Or at least I hope so.

But it says a lot AGAIN about our Recruitment & Retention Strategy circa losing RTS, Maloney & Jennings. Friggin nightmare.

The Jennings **** up is so underrated. We lost so many early games last season by so few points. Most scored out wide through poor decision making in the centres. What makes it worse is that he was bought last minute by an already over the cap parra side.

We were gonna get Roberts as a cheaper replacement for Jenko until Brisbane found an extra $500k in the back pocket of their jeans.

Copley came pretty much for free with Brisbane footing the bill. Hodges said he was ready to play Origin for QLD (there's a youtube video out there... in which he interestingly calls him 'Copeley').

In context he made sense as a free replacement for Jenko. Unfortunately he's been injured most of the time so I don't really know what to think of his form/potential (Hodges doesn't just say you're Origin material for no reason - but Brisbane obviously felt that Roberts had more potential). Never looked anywhere near as good as Jenko and you'd think that either Matterson or Latrell would have his measure.

Not gonna have a cheap swipe at him because he seems an alright bloke. As a lawyer I respect his studies... maybe he'll have a fallback as an NRL Players Association lawyer or something given the injuries and contract BS he's had. I don't really know enough about him as a player to say any more than I won't be disappointed if Matterson or Latrell get to start as a result.

I don't think copley was free, pretty sure broncos were footing about 50-80k for the 1st year, and i think we signed him for well over 300k, which is why i found it such an odd signing. He will be here for another two years at 350k if we don't find a club dumb enough to take him from us.

350k for the first two years. He would have been subsidised the first year which is why we let jenko go thinking it'd pan out in the long run. He's not worth minimum wage to me as a centre. Maybe on the wing but we need another winger like another sphincter.

Funny thing is I reckon he has potential ..attacking wise shows some thing defencively -needs a good teacher ...dont I guess this means the great one is coming and teh centers will most likely be Manu and Latrell I would prefer a Manu fergo combo on the right and a Manu and Latrell Toup on the left is the great one for 2017 or 18? if we get him.
