  • Sam Moa

He had his best game in 2 seasons yesterday. A couple of his offloads were artyesque and his charges and defense was superb, if he can still produce like this then he should be re-signed.

IMO definitely no!! He did a great job for us but 20 rounds of rubbish plus his age surely it's time we look to the future. Love big Sam and seems like a top bloke but i can't see any value in him at all.

If he can produce displays like yesterday why would you let him go?

Looked as though he was playing for a contract extension.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

Cause where has that been for nearly 18 months now? FPN springs to mind now he's perfoming at contract time.

He hasn't lost his ability. He has lost the ability to be consistent though.

It was a good game for the big fella and congratulations to him on a great return to form. Not to detract from that, but in reality, it was against sub-standard opposition and I would like to see him think about running hard and straight first and ball playing second. He has the leg speed and physique to bend the line when that is his focus.

I've always liked Moa as a player, he hits the line hard and he's very honest, I certainly don't blame him for our form this year.

Not for one second did i mean to sound like i was blaming him for this year, plenty ahead of him in that category.

Must be contagious! the rest of the team suffered that very thing..

It looks like Moa is shrinking.

I thought this only happened to the elderly.

I like him but a few of his premeditated passes were lucky to say the least. Dragons read them like a childrens book and woulda intercepted a few if they weren't playing like poo.

That said, I'm a fan of Sam Moa. I like his build, his hard/straight running style and his offloads. I see no reason to drop him unless there's somebody better to replace him for that money.

Also he's mature. Have said it elsewhere but just after we signed Fergo, we had a training session in Canberra (at the Raiders Leagues Club of all places). Moa protected Fergo from a bunch of d!ckhead drunken Raiders fans who were giving him shyte as he walked out. I admired Moa's maturity in the situation... he turned what coulda been ugly into a bunch of drunks looking like d!ckheads.
