  • Has Robbo lost the plot

I don't believe we lost the game due to an incorrect bunker call, again we will be the targets of the referees.

He makes a statement about officials making mistakes and not being dropped maybe he look should at the performance of some players last night and apply the same logic.

Andrew can you provide me the rule where that is not a try? I've been looking through the laws this morning, can't find anything specific at all.

That was a crucial decision that I think put them in front for the first time.

But if you were to single out one incident it would be Toups dropping the ball with the line wide open (which he has done a number of times this season). Right there 18/16-0 changed to 12-12. It's just not acceptable for a first grade winger.

Funny how Robbo doesn't mention Tupou's dropped ball as the turning point, yet decides to hammer the bunker..
I don't think he has lost the plot yet,but he is Definetly heading that way..

I was thinking about that this morning and concluded that blaming Toups in public would not help in any way.

I get that JT,but surely he could refer to the 3 bombed tries by us as the game changer instead of the bunker..
He is starting to sound desperate to me..

I thought it was no try at the ground. Seems being able to push the ball to the ground while a teammate is in possession is another nonsensical rule the NRL hasn't had the foresight to remove. The refs were pretty piss poor last night, could've easily given 5 or 6 more penalties our way. But Tupou's drop was crucial, if he holds that it's probably game set and match.

The bunker call was a 50/50 that went against us. But fair dinkum, how many times have decisions been reversed that go against us. I can't recall the bunker overturning a decision in our favour once this season, but can easily think of 9 or 10 where they have against us.

I can't find the rule about drivers, but usually it is governed by the tackle law in that the moment an attacking team mate lends his weight to a tackle and touches a defender, it is held. So from that any grounding of the ball constitutes a double movement penalty.

I believe you need to look up the specific NRL refereeing guidelines to find the wording on drivers. It's not mentioned in the official laws of the game

Robbo should be more upset by the fact we had 2 players closer than Lichaa that just stood their and watched rather than help Guerra by getting under the ball.

We just aren't a desperate footy team, the will to win isn't there for most of these guys this season......yeah **** the Bunker but we only have ourselves to blame yet again.

Robbo admitted it was probably the rant of a losing coach. He's always been reluctant to criticize the players - anyway it's obvious to all that a number of them are hopeless at the moment.

I actually thought it was pretty clear that Guerra had stolen the ball from Jackson. He had his left arm completely around the ball and then the "driver" eventually came in to push the ball to ground.

The Bunker is a disgrace, not just in our games but all.

                          Spot on

                          We bombed 3

The ref was involved in 1 contentious decision.

We dropped a lot of ball. Toups dropping the ball was one thing but they were 10M out at the start of their set. A couple of tackles later Evans gave away a stupid penalty about 10M out that was so fkn obvious. Up until then our defence was faultless. A couple of tackles later Moa does exactly the same thing. I blame those two piggy back penalties for their first try rather than Toups dropping the ball 10M out. He was 50/50 getting to the line anyway and I think it was the last tackle.

Evans is a fkn meat head. He offers very little when JWH comes off.

                              It was clearly no try.

Held up and then thr driver touched Guerra's arm to get the ball down.

An absolutely shocking call. About the 5th bunker shocker we've been on the end of this season.
