On Ferguspn and both our centres Until we get two halves with some speed Last night neither of our startong halves have the speed to put the outside defence on two minds Then our outside backs have no hope Pearce 7 Watson 6 will at least give our halves some pace and if we get go forward from the forwards then thosr two can create indecision with their speed bringing the likes of Ferguson and Copley into play Fergo was good ladt year when we had halves that could create with a bit of speed snd whilst Copley has done nothing so far he has been playong outside a 6 @ 7 who either have no speed no experience or both With that in mind I cant judge him with the certainty dome on here areI respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Why do we need Fijians? It wasn't long ago that this website said we had too many players of Polynesian and Melanesian descent and now we need more.Originally posted by bondi-boy View Post
Why don't we have big, fast, clever, multi try-soring Fijian wingers like other teams do?
Why don't we have physical giants playing for us like the Storm do?

Wasn't I...I said we need Pacific Island legs to kick 40/20's etc.
...also to tame Wally Lewis and his ilk today!
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/bl...lsen-filipaina
In 1981 and 1982 he was voted by the players as the hardest hitter and the hardest guy to tackle. Word soon got around that Filipaina was not a man to be messed with.
“Aussie coaches were in your face, talking a million miles an hour and would humiliate you in front of your team-mates,” says Filipaina. “Lowey was different, he did the little things that made you comfortable and trust him.” Prior to the decision to tactical switch, Lowe did something extraordinary. He called his secret weapon in Auckland; Olsen’s late mother Sissie. Lowe explained the challenges Olsen faced in Lewis and tried to get her buy in. “No coach will ever have as much power as a mother and she is the best judge of what he is capable of,” Lowe said explaining his strategy. “If Sissie had even the slightest doubt, I wouldn’t have shifted him.”
In the third Test a week later the Kiwis crushed the Australians 18-0 in a famous victory. Lewis must have been glad to see the end of the menacing Polynesian and the leg drive of his thighs, a legacy of strength from his ancestors, the great Polynesian navigators that paddled across the Pacific. Filipaina was named man-of-the-series.
When people ask Lowe how he got the best out of Filipaina and the team he answers: “No magic wand. I just brought a sense of love to those boys.”
the reserve-grade playing garbage collector, with the help of his mum, schooled an Australian legend in one of Kiwi rugby leagues greatest moments

Fergo owes it to the club but the self centred self entitled cat i despise is incapable. His total lack of heart in running the ball up from a deep kick on Saturday night said it all about his attitude. The so called experienced star chose not to run it but passed it to a 18yr old fullback to do the hard yards. Fergo Freelader is what he is and it's none of his team mates fault nor management. Faaark off Fergo

He ran 160m, which is pretty darn freakish. That's 2015 RTS kind of metres. Latrell was clearly injured and took pretty much no ball. Fergo has played 2 positions for most of the season to try and help out Latrell. Unfortunately it's not as smooth as the Mini/RTS transition because Fergo isn't a fullback (and Latrell is less experienced than RTS was.) Such is life...Originally posted by bondi paul View PostFergo owes it to the club but the self centred self entitled cat i despise is incapable. Yes Fergo farked up a certain try, but he did a pretty freaky move to get himself in that position (and has scored/setup quite a few tries this year.) I think people focus too much on how he fell over rather than viewing the FULL move. On grass that even Cam Smith fell over on (clearly a bit too slick) Fergo jumped on front of a player, caught the ball from an awkward position and tried accellerating. He got the ball in an awkward position and was accellerating like a sports car driving offroad (possibly due to last week's storm.) He did a bit of a wheel spin and went splat.
IMO if you watch the full thing in normal speed (rather than Fergo falling over and looking silly) the first reaction is 'FAAARK HOW DID HE GET IN THERE AND STEAL THE BALL?!?!? JESUS!!!' In this context, I think it's a lot clearer why he slipped... he didn't slip because he wanted to, or because he wasn't trying hard. He slipped because (if anything) he was trying TOO HARD to pull off a miracle play, and NEARLY pulled it off.Last edited by ism22; 06-13-2016, 06:22 PM.

Ok he slipped. It can happen.
What about the second bombed try where he was clearly going to score a try though he chose to pass the ball to Maubs ( who got hammered). Fergo ended up well over the try line. Last year he would have barged over and got the ball down (assuming he didn't lose it in the tackle)Roosters For Ever

Ferguson has been woeful all season. The only reason I can think of as to why he is picked in the rep teams is that he is the 'player redemption' story the game is so fond of. Bad boy made good, yada yada yada. It's all b/s but it happens every year, and Ferguson is this year's recipient.
I'll be happy if he's in the NSW side, so he can play shyte for them instead of us. He's certainly no loss to the Chooks the way he's performing in 2016.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Ferguson and Daley, both Raiders juniors.Originally posted by Rooster_UK View PostDoes anyone actually know how Blake has managed to get himself a gig at Origin this year? What has he actually done to warrant it? Blown two tries tonight, defence has been awful all season and he's literally done nothing.
