If so was wondering what is the go with JrJr and assume Hastings will take his spot.

Yeah the Roosters said that officially? I think on FB... Pearce has a minor calf injury and Cords picked up an injury during Origin (TBH wish he'd played like that for us instead of NSW... NSW is a lost cause... oh wait, so are we this season. Point taken, onya Cords!)
