He is a pretty capable fullback + has a lot of first grade experience. Just listen to the G Coast fans, they are livid that Zillman is staying over Mead.

For a sensible price, he would solve our fullback problem until Latrell gets up to speed

He would still be a massive improvement over Toops.

Not only is he underdone, he gives the other team a mental lift getting dominated in tackles and that turnstile effort on the opposite winger at the end says it all.

Toops was only any good when the Ref's actually enforced the rules as far as blocking plays are concerned, but since they don't he's totally surplus to requirements.

Funny thing is we came awfully close to signing him back in 2008 through Lammy who was our inaugural U20s coach. Unfortunately we lost out to the GC but i've always been impressed with his blinding speed and step, & ability to score great tries.
