The player in question has been accused of believing his own hype and ultimately it could cost him. The coaching staff aren’t too impressed by him and although he’s under contract next season, there have been discussions internally whether to keep the player beyond this season.

The brilliance (kind of) of pieces like that is every supporter who reads that could apply it to one of the youngsters currently in their team. Not only does it engage the reader but it promotes a discussion. Think about it, if the mail was genuine the far better piece for the journalist would be to name the person. This is what they call a filler piece, there's no substance to it what so ever.
