  • Roosters in the wet

I never thought I'd say this because I think we play bad wet weather football but a bit of rain tonight might actually be a good thing in that it will slow the game down. In particular, it will hamper the big Souths pack who have some mistakes in them. That game they played against St George where they lost was hampered by the weather. If the rain evens out the contest a bit, the game might come down to one or two moments of individual brilliance as opposed to a sustained team wide effort.

    Thoughts?

wet or dry - guaranteed controversy as it happens in most games now. its the culture of the nrl due to its tv package, the online clicks and newspaper sales.
the highlight for me this week was our clubs brilliant social media video postings " the rivalry - something never change ". The best marketing seen for many years and it just a indication by our club how poor the NRL is in marketing.

I agree the NRL is shit house at marketing but those promo videos were actually Souths' work. We just decided to share them on FB, etc.

I'd be happy for it to rain. The Souffs vs Merge game was played in the wet. The ground was heavy and they struggled.

Speaking of the Merge. 164 minutes without scoring a point. I reckon we'll give it to them on ANZAC Day.

even the rain won't save us .. we have players i.e. Guerra, moa, sst, and aubbo who cannot pass a ball properly,,, all except aubbo are rep players yet have no idea how to pass, therefore our best attacking player fergo gets little ball ,,,,

I agree that we have players who can't pass properly.

Guerra never passes ever basically, let alone not properly.

Fergo should learnt to tackle, his defence is a disgrace

If we have players who can't pass the ball as you say then surely wet weather helps when your game plan is generally to complete sets by passing as little as possible.

Moa has hands of silk and great ball skills for a slab of meat.

Wet weather usually favours the underdog, that's us. Then again we had all the favours against Manly, Raiders and the warriors but still lost. The Ro0-5ters are overdue...
