  • Pearce Rorted Again.

    I'm no great Pearce fan to be honest, but I can't stand the inconsistency of the nrl.

    Nanny had to step in and impose our club with this ludicrous suspension , because of the damage to the games image, apparently.

    Going on that precedent Josh Reynalds should be wiped out for the rest of the year and publicly humiliated as well.

    But greeneggsandham will laugh it off and nothing will be said.

    The games a friggen joke these days.

        Incident during their loss to Canberra.

        And Nanny is the beloved nrl.

                The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have always been a protected species.

                  There was a bottle thrown at the Raiders bench in last nights game. It came from the Bulldogs members area.

                  A $20 fine and 5 push ups should suffice.

                    Giving too much power to Green-things is a bad idea.
                    Just look at federal politics, and the other muppet show.

                            In my opinion I really believe that Todd Greenberg and John Grant are not fans of Nick Politis nor our club. In regards to the Pearce video, I will admit it was not a good image more upon Mitchell himself than the game, but however below have been past indiscretions from other players and clubs under the reign of both Greenberg & Grant;

                            1. Ben Hunt - early 2015 was caught on video in public falling down on the footpath intoxicated. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission;

                            2. Dylan Walker & Aaron Gray - both players overdosed on prescribed medication and were hospitalised for the incident. Image was players using medication / pain killers mixed with fluids in which brings player welfare & education with drugs. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission;

                            3. John Sutton & Luke Burgess - both players arrested & charged by US Police for an off season camp. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission;

                            4. Greg Bird, Dave Taylor, Beau Falloon & Kalifa Faifai Loa - 2014 Interviewed and charged by Police for possession and minor distribution of illegal narcotics. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission;

                            5. George Burgess - 2013 posted a nude photo of himself in the bathroom on social media and then two weeks later was charged by Police in Townsville for removing a pole of the ground outside an RSL Club. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission;

                            6. Konrad Hurrell - 2013 posted a video on social media of him and another woman performing a sex act whilst he is driving a car. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission;

                            7. Valentine Holmes - 2016 fined for public nuisance and obstructing Queensland Police after breaking curfew at the Emerging Origin squad camp and causing trouble in Brisbane's entertainment precinct. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission; and

                            8. James Tamou - 2014 picture was posted on social media of him and another woman performing a sex act in a toilet cubicle. No fine nor suspension was handed down by the NRL or NRL Commission.

                            There are many more that I have probably missed, I know that clubs have handled it internally but however compare Mitchell Pearce to the rest above in his defence he was not charged by police, also it was not performed in public for everyone to see, No one was physically harmed nor any situation get out of hand, another good point was that no drugs were involved, only alcohol, he only had his shirt off at the time so there was no nudity from Pearce, when asked to leave HE DID LEAVE AND HE DID IT WITH NO FUSS OR AGRESSION....

                            So why has the NRL & Commission with the Integrity unit decided right now that an 8 game suspension and $125K fine is the action taken where there was no interference by both units for the pervious 8 incidents? They have been around for the past 4 years and not acted so why now?

                              THE Sydney Roosters and the NRL are eight weeks apart on deter*mining a fair punishment for *Mitchell Pearce’s Australia Day misbehaviour.

                              At a sometimes heated meeting at NRL headquarters on Wednesday the Roosters pushed for a maximum four-week ban, or a $200,000 fine, while the integrity unit insisted on 10 to 12 weeks.
                              Roosters chairman Nick Politis, chief executive John Lee and lawyer Mark O’Brien left the meeting after two hours of negotiations with no solution in sight. Sources said the meeting became heated several times and both sides were represented by lawyers.
