  • I saw enough growth in the Warriors game

To say we'll beat the Rabbitohs.

Call me mad but there were some really key defining periods in that game both in attack and defence that I reckon the team will come out of with a lot of confidence. A lot of individuals were down on some of their performances but as a team we grew.

The Rabbitohs are an undoubted step up in class from the Warriors but our motivation & desperation will be too much.

    Trust me.

I think souths will get us in a tight one. But after that we'll go on to win our next three.

Oh it was a wretched game ay!!! We got so many things right, only to fall at the final hurdle. I was impressed by:
        - Elliot... lots of key 1-on-1 tackles there for a guy who is reasonably small
        - Nikorima's speeeeeed!!! Farking zoom zoom!!!
        - Hastings' kicking!!! Last week we woulda only scored like 16 points. Most of Jacko's kicks were from out wide too!
        - Mitchell... no silly mistakes and how about that cool dawg take near the end where he basically closed his eyes, the bal fell into his arms and he ran ~30m by himself. Some damn good offloads from that kid too!
        - Fergo... he's had a quiet start. I was happy with his attack and defence today. It was like his timing was a bit off in defence or something and it is all coming back?
        - SKD... he's our new miracle try dude!!! And those farking long strides!!! He's faster this year I reckon? Better technique or something.

Our forwards are clicking too (although Napa needs to settle or he's gonna get himself suspended! CONTROLLED aggression mate).

We deserved to lose, but what a bloody wretched result! 5 losses in a row with 3 being soooo close hurts big time when you're noticing all these amazing efforts and improvements.

A win today would've given us that confidence boost we need.

We've played ok the last 2 games with a big improvement today.

Definitely heading in the right direction.

Mitchell needs to stop ball watching and slide across to cover any line breaks.

Putting 20+ points on the board in back to back games is just as important. As was how easily and confidently we regained the lead in that second half.

The confidence of knowing you can score points goes full circle and starts to reflect in your defence, our scramble in that second half was the best I've seen all year. It spoke of a team who are starting to believe in themselves.

I have said from Rd 1 that I cant see the Roosters winning a game until Pearce is back but I now think Rd 8 could possibly be their first win. Anzac Day. Go the Chookies.

Big Sam & bigger George always play their best footy when they play the Roosters & so does Reynolds, thank God he is not playing.

Sure but it's not the same as knowing that you can ice a game if it's close.

                      The objective is to win.

                      We are 0 and 5.

A win today would give the boys a much needed confidence and morale boost.

Definitely improvement as the young players get more experience in the big league. A win would have been a great boost to their confidence. Unfortunately it was not to be. And those people calling for Robbo's head, get a little perspective. Do you think Bennett or Bellamy would do any better? How well do the storm go when they're missing Cronk and Smith and Slater? How did Bennett go at the Knoughts? You can't work miracles when 3 of our so-called spine could all be playing U20's they are still so young!

The horrible defence of Ferguson cost us yet another game. It's just money for jam for every team that faces us running a block play at that dunce. There has been **** all improvement in our defensive structure in 5 games.

Until that is fixed we are going to keep leaking points down that edge and losing games.

Got to agree Danish, that's our biggest issue.
I can cop the un-organisation from a young halves pairing and our disjointed attack but to have a seasoned (former origin) first grader make SO many bad reads in defence on our goal line is ridiculous.
Cody Walker will have a field day next week, get on Avau and Grey to score doubles each nice and early

You can growl when players jersey grab etc ..Im with ya...but our right side has been shit all year been we constantly leave overlaps is that another problem created by the absence of Mitchel Pearce ? I think so as he defends there a lot.
