Would the NRL use the Marquee return to NRL money to assist which basically means he isnt included in the cap?
I cant see Hayne coming to the Roosters this year or ever for that matter but I do think that Nick has developed a friendship with him & that if certain circumstances panned out that the Roosters would be in the picture.

If they are prepared to do that BC, then maybe they have reason to be very confident of it happening. Beavis has a very good relationship with our Club.Originally posted by Bigchook View Post
I agree. We've left 600k in the salary cap to hopefully sign someone who might be available by mid June and who hadn't played footy for 2 years? Sounds like something the titans would do.Embrace the Hate! JC

This isn't a shite team mate. It's a team who have had to replace 3 of their 4 spine players with kids. And a team waiting for JWH, Cordner, Pearce to return. Once that happens and Nikorima returns to the utility position, it will be a different side.Originally posted by ism22 View PostHayne wouldn't have won us the Souths and Cowboys games. He MIGHT have secured the Raiders game for us.
If we signed Hayne now we'd look like Parra have for the past 7 years (or more). Shyte team with 1 guy expected to carry everybody. Hayne's only good for solid teams lacking an x-factor.
Oh and I'm 100% sure he wouldn't dog Parra in a year where they've been beating top teams early on.
We're not getting the Hayne Plane, or Duges, or Lawrence, or Kurtley Beale for that matter. Time to move on...Embrace the Hate! JC

That's the only reason I'm not irate. It's suicide for a club to go into a season 600k under the cap after shedding 3 star players. It's so dumbfoundingly stupid that such professional business persons as nick and co simply wouldn't do it unless something was in the works. There's more to come on this matter.Originally posted by John Corey View Post

The salary cap punishes the successful clubs as a part of the nrl 's plan.Originally posted by Bigchook View PostThat's the only reason I'm not irate. Managing to stay on top of it all would be a very tricky balancing act.
But any club fielding a team team 600K under the cap ain't signing it's death warrant.
Plans are afoot.
I hope.
Think you're right in assuming there's more to come, but is it for next year?
