Several people at my work have expressed outrage that Pearce was not banned for life from league.

When I queried exactly why such an extreme sanction would be justified in their minds, to my utter amazement they actually believed that Pearce had sexual relations with that dog. I'm not kidding. These are intelligent people too.

News Limited own our local paper, the Wentworth Courier, and it's the only one I read as they have good local info for shopping, restaurants, live music etc. They published a letter by a man from Bondi Junction trashing our players, but not mentioning their names of course. When I wrote a letter in reply, the paper refused to publish it. They made a huge deal last year for months about Sally Betts, the Mayor of Waverley, giving a character reference for a convicted rapist, but Nick Pappas, chairman of South Sydney, also gave a character reference for the same rapist, but they did not print a word about it.
