  • MANU + MITCHELL = OUR FUTURE

These 2 were by far the most exciting players on our side today in the 9's. Throw them in with the mix of joe Burgess pinning his ears back for that wonder try from cornish' kick. Although we lost, our juniors showed IMMENSE promise today. Very happy.

Lateral Mitchell - his new nickname.

The other Mitchell can find a new kennel. No matter what his father says.

I think we get your opinion on Pearce by now Johnny.

I agree Freddy. Hope they both get some FG this year. That's all this 9s is about. Having a look at the youngsters.

You forgot Conor Watson! He looked very sharp with ball in hand, reminds me of Maloney.

Barring that last rant in the Pearce Update thread, I'm all done talking about him. I'll talk about Gurdjieff but you might doze off half way through.

He is similar to Maloney actually, little bit faster but obviously nowhere near as refined. Could be one to watch.

Manu, Mitchell and Burgess all looked really good.

Latrell Mitchell has star written all over him, I hope Robinson picks him at fullback from rd1.

The kid was completely buggered after his magnificent try against Parramatta Eels he is not physically ready for first grade let alone playing fullback in first grade.

The future certainly looks bright with these youngsters.
If this year is going to be one for rebuilding, then I would blood as many as possible to give them experience and then make a serious challenge to the Premiership in 2017!

                      Our young boys played well.

We potentially could have the best spine in the comp in a couple of years accompanied with an experienced beast of a pack.

                      The future looks bright.

Mitchell looks ready to me, he may have been huffing and puffing but so was everyone else. I hope he's in the team.

Mitchell looks great but definitely not ready for first grade yet. Robbo is an expert at blooding the youth in FG and he will definitely be approaching Latrell's mental state with a great deal of finesse. i.e making sure his confidence and mental approach is on par with the big leagues. Physically i believe he could play right now, apart from his lungs. However, mentally, i still think the kid has some way to go.

Here is something to remember. Bryson Goodwin looked good this weekend.

Some of these young kids have a huge potential, esp Manu, Mitchell and Butcher. I hope that Watson is part of the clubs future too and he is made of the right stuff to be a leader.
But none of these are ready for regular first grade yet. They need more experience playing against men
