  • Guerra

Alright I think quite a few people will agree that Aidan's form has probably dipped a bit since 2013. He kind of looks a bit puffed out. With JWH out I think that Guerra is someone that really needs to lift big time. So for this week I'm picking Guerra to lift in his absence and put a try on the board.

He got stuck in defensively on Saturday night. Also ran for over 100m.

He's been ripping in the last 2 rounds.I don't think he's too far off having his game click back into top gear.

Hopefully he finds some form and starts penetrating the line again.

Maloney/Cordner combo is coming along nicely.

I am with you GC6 in that I hope Guerra steps up now the business end is here, although to say his form is down is only a matter of perception, because he isn't scoring as often this year doesn't mean he isn't performing that well.

Checked his work load and stats he is in the top defenders each week, covers the middle for first 3 hard hit ups then follows out hard when ball swings wide.

Cover defends the back of the defensive line just incase.

Running around the 100M each game.

Forever in the shot for decoy "Hole running" in line attack and rarely getting the money ball but never stops running the "Commitment Line".

Have wondered for a while what is going on with this tactic and have decided it is a ploy to desensitise the opposition so Robbo/ Friendy can pull the trigger in the big games.

Live in Hope ( this could be where it starts ).

I'd love it if he occasionally passed the ball 😀

Gets through a lot of valuable defensive work, just isn't clicking for him in attack at the moment. Everyone has an off season here or there, he's been up for a long time up until now.

LOL, true that. He's in the class of Gallen when it comes to being a hog.

He loves to have at least one attempt at Field Goal during the warm up.

                Perhaps some type of superstition.

That's the thing that I probably left out. That a lot of his work goes unnoticed. But I miss that Guerra who used to do a nice run with his arms dangling up high and with a little spin hip twist he would be gaining meters like no tomorrow. You no that spin and hip twist that he had, wonder if he was an Oztag player back in the day. My coach used to have us twisting our hips all over the park.

His 1st try in the 2013 Preliminary against the Knights was 'classic Guerra'

I think he's made state level for touch. At least one of his brothers has represented Australia.

He improved a lot last week I thought. Remember that forward pass Friend got called for before half time put his over next to the posts. Was a nice hit and spin after he caught it too. If that isn't disallowed we probably have a very different perception of his game. Also multiple times he did pass to Fergo on his right last game. Which created a bit of space on a couple of occasions.

I have been a critic but thought he had his best game against Broncs.

He has improved out of sight last two games.

Welcome well and truly back, Mr Guerra.

He was fantastic laat night. That's two great games in a row.
