That pass had me going back to just over 30 years ago when his father was doing the same thing, that was magic to watch.SOH will go okay I reckon, he is going to be on a real learning curve but no different to when Arthur Beetson back midway in 1977 threw Kevin into the half back role and we all know what happened after that.

With an off season focusing purely on playing in the halves and a few more full games under his belt, he will more than fill in for Maloney.

Vision, it's something you can't teach.

Very few halves have it these days. Very promising talent, I thought he played well within himself today, he's a much busier player than he showed and plays a lot more direct. Obviously was given a role to do though and did it well. I'm excited to see him get a full season next year.

I don't understand how some people don't rate him on here when we 've only seen a small portion of what he can do.

Seems to have so much time and doesn't overplay his hand. Exciting times ahead !!

That was a sublime pass. He may not look like Dad Kevin but he sure plays like him. He may even compensate for Pearce's goobery next year given the chance.

He has it ... dont worry ...........its how much work he does on his game is how far he can take it.
Rememeber.theres a lot of people who were shitting their pants about Shek playing fullback this year and probably the Chooks bosses (where is he now?) Im still dirty on shek going and no one has been held accountable as far as I know.

I wish he had another few yards in pace. But having said that, his Dad was no David Michael either.

I think my favourite thing about him is that unlike most young halves (Brooks, Moses) he can defend.

It was the simple couple of steps forward that straightened up the defence that was so impressive. He didn't rush the line, go to early on the pass or go to deep into the line. A lot of halves seem to struggle getting that balance right.
Maloney's ball to Ferguson was even better.

Those simple couple of steps made that play even more special.
Even his little head fake inside to Fergo and pass outside to set up that try.

Quite a few people on here don't rate Guerra, Maloney, SKD, Pearce & others... Always gunna find people who won't give credit where it's due.

Aye in good time he will justify his pedigree,

Personally, & given BBQ threw a perfect cut out to Toops (also stuffed a similar one) I believe Jackson will have a higher success rate with those clutch passes. He is as fast & potentially as gifted as BBQ.

He just to needs to work hard on place kicks over the off season.

Interesting hearing Pearce describe him as a really edgy/nervous character who has a footy mind and a tendency to over-think things.

Name means little in terms of form but I suspect we're going to have a pair of halves who have not only played footy since birth, but know just about every move/moment that exists in rugby league. I predict this will be a ridiculous amount of knowledge and they'll be an amazing pair if they can put all of that knowledge into practice.
