It was ugly, real ugly however i'm thankful for the win and the 2 points.

We are now currently sitting in 3rd and have a bye next week.

We can't play a perfect brand of footy every week.There's always going to be a couple of horror performances along the way.

You obviously believe the key to success is sacking a coach after a few losses as all the best coaches would queue up to sign up with the Roosters knowing that they have to win the premiership every year or they will be fired. I am sure that approach would see all the best players wanting to play here as well.

NOT ONCE did I call for Trent's sacking. I think he has done VERY well for our club. But that does NOT mean he should be immune from criticism. NO coach is perfect and neither is Trent. Given that, there should always be room for improvement. Such improvement I am yet to see given our very average performances against teams on the bottom of the ladder.


Once again, thanks so much for overreacting and bringing in personal attacks onto another poster even though what I said about our side's style of play was perfectly warranted criticism. I said our attitude was not poor. I said our execution was poor. I said our play was too structured and we lack flexibility in attack. I then said that I believe Trent should fix it. Nowhere did i ATTACK Robinson like you tried to attack me.

If i'm not mistaken, you're a man supposedly in your late 40's and yet your childish petulant insults directed at me make you reminiscent of a teenager going through puberty. Grow up.

I must concur with the Chookpen Website Member "Cockadoodledoo" as I too feel embarrassed to read the outrageous criticism and silly thoughts that some of the fans have here. You would not think that this team is currently running third in the premiership after successful seasons of winning the minor premiership and premiership when you read these discussions.

I am unsure whether some of these people genuinely believe their own rubbish or share these thoughts with the intention of upsetting other people but it has become rather embarrassing to read. Some of our fans really do have a sense of entitlement but no appreciation for the good times. Were these same fans suffering during the 1980's and early 1990's and mid 2000's? It seems impossible to think that thst were with such an attitude towards our current successful squad and coach.

IReally piss poor. It's not our attitude. We're trying hard but it's our dreadful focus an execution. Some really poor decisions made. We play with way too much structure sometimes and it's frustrating because we have nothing else. Way too much lateral play. Go short passes up the middle ffs. Robbo needs to fix this shit but won't or simply can't

However you did say one thing that I somewhat agree mainly because many of us here blame the players but I agree that Trent has also some responsibility about the way we play. I'm sure that many of us can agree that the continous use of the bomb by Maloney and worse of all by Pearce when it's clearly not working has to be something that Trent sees every week yet fails to change. I doubt that the players go against his instructions and if they did, then Trent has some authority issues, but I doubt it. I just think that Trent doesn't see that as a problem which goes back to sharing the blame for those tactics.
The only good thing about our 5th tackle play is Friend's grubbers which have a high success rate of a repeated set, unlike the bombs out wide BUT unfortunately, the ball mostly go to Pearce or Maloney on the 5th so we're actually giving the ball back to them.
