  • Moa Charged

Judiciary: Sam Moa to miss a game for contact with match official, 4th minute. Early plea not enough to escape ban due to loading

Not enough they didn't allow his try but he touched the pocket ref on the shoulder. I thought he might be in trouble for that. Looked more like a massage

its the one rule there should be no tolerance, as a player you simply can't make deliberate contact with an official no matter how innocent it was.

unfortunately there is no fighting this one.

Foolish thing to do. The ref isn't a bro who you can put your arm around. Very dumb.

I saw it at the time and thought it was weird. But inappropriate? That's a joke.

I remember thinking when he did it "What the hell are you doing - you can't do that!" Surely players should know better by now - I know there was nothing malicious about it, but you just don't put your hands on the ref.

Agreed but I think the rules are pretty clear... you don't touch officials.

fmd - the nrl is just like australia over governed over ruled a legacy of a penal colony. no wonder tyler brule called us a nanny state when he was here for the vivid festival.

Bit silly of him but certainly doesn't warrant a suspension.

Another joke decision by the NRL...just ahead of our game against the Dragons.
Warning and fine would've been sufficient.

Sam likely didn't know, probably thought the refs and the NRL were his friends...now he knows a lot differently.

He was full of 'love' not 'hate'...when he should've been full of 'hate' not love'.
A valuable lesson for him to learn about the NRL and its officials.

Unfortunately for Sam it's quite clearly against the rules but then again I've seen far worse on a football field not penalised. And I have no doubt we'll see many things far worse and not penalised this Wednesday night.
