I only ask because I thought they re-introduced the rule that if the ref doesn't call a penalty and it goes up to the video ref a penalty can only be given if the tackle goes on report.

JWH has controlled agression on a string now.

He new after the Broncos game that he was baited and realised how it effected his and the teams performance.

It was written all over his face at fulltime.He now has become a better player after that experience.

I can't wait to play the Broncos again.

LOL, true that. I don't believe JWH was put on report but I do believe that his performance last night was awesome. Oh, and I it was great to see loads of second phase play by the Roosters. The offloads really helped to break up the drizzle's defence. Well done Roosters.

But when I watched the replay I saw it actually didn't go to the video ref. The pocket ref said he saw high contact.

I'm sure that Maxwell called time off when he stayed down. I was sure it was not until it was shown to the video ref that the penalty was awarded. Maybe the pocket ref saw it on the big screen and then made the comment. But it definitely wasn't given in the usual time a penalty is awarded.

No doubt about that last bit. I think it was more miscommunication and incompetence by the refs than anything diabolical. At the end of the day we have to cop it was a fair penalty.

I was listening to sports ears during the game and the initial call by the refs was to play on. Only when the Storm player took a dive that a penalty was blown ...
