Yeah it's a bit of catch 22 mate. I'm not a fan of the charge down. It didn't cost us the game though. I knew when we were up by two we had to score again. But Pearces missed tackle on Keary and the JWH and someone else getting shoved off by a bloody halfback killed us in the end. They are a very good team and u gotta make thos tackles to beat them.

It's a very low percentage play these days. With possession so important its a dumb play as well.

The point is to pressure the kicker. You won't stop the charge-down.

I don't think a lot of the charge downs are deliberate, more a ploy for the player pressuring the kicker protecting himself from getting kicked in the face or having the ball smash into his face.

I agree. I had bad feeling when that happened but overall he had a good game.
