  • Melbourne would murder us

Just watching them touchup Parra. They would slaughter us on current form.

They recruited well in Widdop and Champion. And it's scary how good Slater, Cronk and Smith are.

Well drilled, fierce and inventive in their backline plays. Class stamped all over them. Got me worried.

On current form you are spot on.

On the other hand, we have a lot of improvement in us.

Let's see how the next few weeks pan out.

They're killing it... when they spread the ball it reminds me of us except that they hold onto it but we drop it.. Would be good to see how much we improve.

The systems and processes they have put in place are incredible. I know they have the "Big Three", but they can only do so much. A lot of credit must be given to Bellamy, who has taken a bunch of pretty poor first graders and turned them into world beaters. If I was starting a football side and wanted a long term coach, he would be the first guy I would go to and I would chuck everything I had at him.

I reckon our biggest problem and even during last year is that we don't build pressure and score.

We usually carve through the first time we're down the opposition's end of the field or not at all. Whereas the Storm and other teams (St Merge ugh) are able to force repeat sets when there's nothing doing. Probably Pearcey needs to take charge in those situations and roll into the ingoal rather than giving it to Braith to let him kick nuffie grubbers for length of the field try's to the other team.

Theres so much more we can improve... that's what frustrates us fans the most I think.. We see the brilliance and talent... but somehow it falls apart.. and we come with the wrong game plan or SOMETHING..

Case in point: Last night... superb try.. and it would have been repeated again if the ref didn't make the forward pass call... but it seems our team relies on the miracle plays to keep us in games.

Pearce and Mini need to watch how Cronk and Slater work the middle of the field and never get in the way of each other.

Any team would have beaten us last night.

                      Any team except Souths.

Never mind Melbourne, most teams would lap us.

We don't need to wait until Melbourne to see us get thumped - we play Saints in two weeks.

They are that far ahead of any other trio in the game it's not funny...they destroy defences...if you pack the middle with defenders they'll get you out wide...number up out wide and they'll open u up down the middle...

I was mesmerised last week when they tore the bulldogs apart...and todays game was another step up again...

The 3 of them scheming and probing constantly is great attacking football to watch...

Definitely prefer to watch the skill of Melbourne than the safety first drudge of Saints.
