  • An Excellent Win

A full 80 minute performance built on a superb defensive display, Kennedy really good, JWH improved and controlled, Carney improving and heading towards his best form, Jake excellent, J Carney a most impressive debut, BJ again showing he will be a star, Mose ditto, Anasta's best game of the year, Riddell likewise

    Things are definitely looking up

Still a lot of work for Smithy to do.
The Warriors game will be interesting .Carney and especially Pearce will need a spot on kicking game.

The performance yesterday was light years better than anything else this season

The scrambling defence and Mini's positional play were features to imho.. throw in the debut of Arona and Conn's grit... Ryles > Newtown..
            ...

He is a shadow of what he was last year.. After watching Conn and Arona it is obvious they can provide more to the team.

Yep I have to agree. Not unless he goes back to the Bluebags and gets mean, ferocious and hungry as hell to prove himself again. He is not in our top four props anymore.

Haven't watched the press conference yet but apparently Smith said something to suggest Ryles is a favourite of his and will definitely be back when fit

                    If true, that's ridiculous

Against an injury ravaged side though. I would have expected us to be a lot more dominating in attack. Still, our form appears to moving in the right direction.

We were unlucky not to score a lot more points. Carney having to go over Tony "speed hump" Archer, Tom Symonds missing a try by a finger tip, Carney a millimeter over the side line.

I liked the fact that we didn't panic in attack as much as we didn't panic in defence.

Don't forget he also started last season very slowly. He'll get better as the season progresses, I'm sure.

The thing I liked was the "6" on the other side of the scoreboard.
The face we defended well made me happy
