  • Injury Update

After a tough encounter against the Bulldogs on the weekend there are a few bumps and bruised today but the only serious injury to come from the match is an ankle injury to Sam Perrett.

Scans have revealed Perrett has fractured his ankle but fortunately the damage is not as bad as first thought and an operation is not required.

The New Zealand International will undergo extensive rehab and be out for approximately eight weeks.

Roosters winger Phil Graham made a successful return from injury playing for Newtown at the weekend.

Graham had been out of action since suffering a pectoral injury in last year's finals series.

Good to hear that Sammy's injury wasn't as bad as first thought and doesn't need surgery.

Graham? No way. Rumble the APC in.

    Chook.

If the coach picks Graham we will have two wingers that are as slow as Luke Covell.

Let's see how good Justin Case is.

Wasn't it Graham's first game back on Saturday?

I doubt he will get picked. I wouldn't be surprised if Carney misses out as well now that Maubs is free to play. Symonds to centre and Linnett on the wing is more likely but I hope Carney does get a crack.

and Graham is faster than Pez, Dukey.

reckon he's more likely to put maubs to centre because he's done it before

Pretty sure Graham only played one game at right wing last year and he scored a try so his strike rate there is infinitely better than Perrett's

Phil Graham is a crap winger/player, if he gets picked he will be targeted and will offer nothing on the kick return.

Picking wingers on the wing is a very bad idea. SKD potential was not realized until he was picked in his natural position he had played in lower grades. I'd hate to see Linnett become another victim of that kind of thinking.

Good to hear it's not so bad.

Give Carney a crack for 8 weeks.

That's plenty of time to develop a bit of form if he's got it in him and can avoid injury.

If the experiment fails, bring pack the People's Favourite.

                  Simple.

Right now Buddy, I'm probably just faster than Pez.

If Linnett is as fast as they say, put him on the wing.

And rcptn meant :Picking non-wingers on the wing

Like B.J., who is a gun second rower/center.

The problem is we have all centres and no wingers. Linnett's best spot is centre, Graham's best spot is centre, BJ's best spot is probably centre at the moment too.

Graham has all of the knowledge to play on the wing, just not the size. Just need to implant his brain into BJ's frame.

Graham has a major problem getting out of dummy half, he gets crushed and would be lucky too average 5,6 metres in that situation.

Most of it is a size issue though because he will be brought down or slowed down by a tackle that a bigger guy probably shrugs off and makes a couple more metres. Hence the rest of my post.

Positioning and defensively he is miles ahead of the rest of them. Just too small.
