Tom Symonds should be one of the first players picked next week...great hole runner and the timing of hitting the hole is the real skill he has...looks like he has some speed too and those 2 together in a back rower are worth tries in a game...I'm sure in all the FG games he's played he's been on the try list and more importantly presented himself in the right spot at the right time for a pass and he's out in the clear most of that time...reminds me of a yuong MEnzies on the fly after hitting holes and Cliffy being smart enough to feed it to him...

I see points in him whereas just see mongrel in others....I like points being scored...

I think you may have gone off a bit early there. He hasn't played that much footy really but he has shown plenty so far. He will only get better.

He has ball skills, and know's how to pass the pill - both ways ....but Fletch was special.

To date I don't think i have ever seen a better ball playing backrower.

Well done Tom. You've made all us old ex-Bondi Utd players very proud. May you have a long and great career ahead at the Roosters.

Symonds is still only a baby and will mould into a big-framed powerhouse like Fletcher.

As for balls skills, Fletcher tried to offload too often for my liking. He was an amazing player when he simply just used his big frame and speed to bust the defensive line.

Fletcher was a great player and hopefully Tom will keep playing for the Roosters for many years and be a Roosters legend as well.
Fortunately Tom isn't a nutcase like Fletcher was.
(not necessarily a bad nutcase but a nutcase none the less)
