How long did it take your Inglis, Falou's, Cameron Smith's of the game to get used to first grade? They came in and took the game by it's neck and went forward. We will never know with our kids, because we DON'T give them a go.

The problem with you Luigi, and it's always been this way is that you continue to harp on about rebuilding, developing ect ect without really coming up from the bottom of the ocean and smelling the air.

Thus, I am here to enlighten you and entertain you.

1 was a megalomaniacal person who also suffered from little mans syndrome
1 would suck on lollypops just to keep his heart pumping
1 was too busy munching muffin to actually give a shit about the side succeeding

and now we have Smith, who has only taken the side since the off season.

you may think that instant success is Reality in your world.

in my world, instant success is fleeting and can cause as much if not more pain in the following years.

When you build a house (goulds legacy since 94) and take away a key foundation from underneath it (fittlers retirement in 2004), the house will not be stable, now you may be able to make patches to it (Stuart 05 06 07, Anderson 08, Fittler 08/09) but eventually, you need someone to start works to rebuild these foundations (smith 2010 - ).

You may not like to accept that the team is still rebuilding and is working to 10 lose the stigma of wooden spooners and 2) improve to succeed, but guess what, just like with skd, you are just going to have to suck it up big boy.

i don't accept mediocrity, i accept reality, success does not come cheap and it is not easy to obtain.

Carney's individual try last night convinced me he MUST play #6.
From about 10m out, he got the ball a couple off the ruck, sped off, stepped off both feet and planted the ball with defenders hanging off him.

Now ask yourself this......When was the last time you saw snail-paced Anasta do something of a similar nature??? Today, i saw the likes of Campese, Lockyer, even Birdbrain CREATE OPPORTUNITIES.

how about the woeful pass that he threw to BJ on the first set of six after halftime when anasta made a half break on the 50 metre line. It was one of the few times in his 5 years at our club that anasta actually made a half break (emphasis on half break because he's not actually good enough to get right through the line and into clear open spaces on his own) and then threw a pass that was so far in front of BJ that the kid had to stretch with one hand on the full stretch and full run to try to catch it and even then he could only just get the edge of his finger tips to it.

Anasta is a waste of space and we will not win anything whilst this dud continues to play for our club.

Its time to wake up and smell the roses and ship him off to the greek 3rd division where he will struggle to make an impact.

u have to understand how excited he would have been making that break.....his brain would have gone into overdrive.........such an unfamiliar situation......."god this is gonna look good for my euro rugby highlights package".........but then he realises he has no pace ....that if he doesn't get rid of the farker soon its over.........so he just chucks it ........hopes for the best...........

Anasta won't get dropped. So much sponsorship is invested in his image. But he needs to move from the halves. I can't recall him attacking the line and opening up a gap for his outside men.

He is the worst 5/8 in the NRL which is a feat considering he has Pearce to work off.

Until Smithy swallows his pride and admits that Carney is not a fullback then I can't see him taking us where we all want to be. He has too many mistakes is his game at fullback. It also limits his attacking skills that he can and has provided at 5/8. The cynic in me thinks that Carney lacks a bit of enthusiasm back there and may not try as hard as he should to make the point.

It was a very poor pass to throw mate from a five eight. A five eight is meant to live and die with their passes - most should anyway.

You are meant to hit the player on the chest, not out in front of him where the support players has to lunge full stretched with one hand to try to get the ball.

You really think BJ wanted to go with the one hand to try and catch it?

I freeze framed the point where the ball reached BJ's hand. I recommend you do the same if you have the game on tape. You will see BJ fully outstretched as though he was trying to dive over the finish line of a 100 metre olympic sprint final.

Serious question - can anyone remember it?

The tries he scores are usually from dummy half.

Heck, I even remember lolini out in open space twice this year.

But I cant remember a single incident of our heroic captain being out in clear space with the ball in hand in his 5 years with us.
