Sam Perrett would be a fine choice for Captain. He is the type of man all young people should look up to and aspire to be like. A good Mormon boy who does not drink and does not smoke.Great role model material.I cannot think of anybody better equipped to captain this great club.In fact I feel he should be promoted to Captain immediately and also promoted as the face of this great Rugby League club.I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Sam sure comes across as a great guy, and he's improved as a player quite dramatically in recent yeras.Originally posted by Andrew Walker View PostSam Perrett would be a fine choice for Captain. But captaincy is about a lot more than that. And he's a winger

Chris Anderson was also a winger and according to my book of records he captained Canterbury Bankstown at one stage.Originally posted by Tries Off Kicks View PostSam sure comes across as a great guy, and he's improved as a player quite dramatically in recent yeras.

After the diabolical season lat year of off filed indiscretions In which we had more of those than victories We need a clean skin to captian this club and to restore some integrity to this clubLast edited by Andrew Walker; 01-20-2010, 11:44 AM.I respect all our moderators here. I would say that is the ONLY reason against him being made captain but is it a good enough reason? Trying to think of previous captains who were also wingers but I'm drawing a blank.Originally posted by Tries Off Kicks View PostSam sure comes across as a great guy, and he's improved as a player quite dramatically in recent yeras.

Ah, thank you Andrew Walker - Chris Anderson.

Integrity can be restored by strategies implemented by the coach and senior managementOriginally posted by Andrew Walker View PostChris Anderson was also a winger and according to my book of records he captained Canterbury Bankstown at one stage.

Captain must be selected on the basis of who is best for the job, not because someone is a "cleanskin"

It appears you are correct there Spanner. None the less he has still captianed and even coached from the wingOriginally posted by spanner View PostAnderson`s only ever captaincy role was combined with his coaching role in England...I respect all our moderators here. He has a problem communicating with offiicialdom on the field Quite frankly he does not know how to do this without seeming confrontational amd aggressive towards the referees.Personally since the Faalogo incident I feel the referees have no respect for him therfor he would not be my choice for CaptainOriginally posted by Billy Gunn View PostAnasta is the right man from the current squadI respect all our moderators here. Anasta could have been forgiven for punching that corrupt, cheating, cretinous referee. He showed great restraint by only speaking the truth: "You're off your head."Originally posted by Andrew Walker View PostPersonally since the Faalogo incident I feel the referees have no respect for him therfor he would not be my choice for Captain

No disagreements from me there. However I feel his antics there lost him the respect of all the referees.Originally posted by Spirit of 66 View PostAnasta could have been forgiven for punching that corrupt, cheating, cretinous referee. Ben Cummins I am afraid to say is being groomed to be the NO1 referee in the game for many years to come. His appointments in the finals series are a testament to thisOriginally posted by adamkungl View Postyep.
