MANLY ROBBED>>>>>>>>>>My mate Peter Jones has come up with a great point , in the NRL 2014 rule book.:..{quote }.For all finals games including the grand final ,in the event of a draw at full time , extra time of 10 mins each way will be played, if the scores are still level at the expiration of extra time ,the coin will be tossed with the winner of the toss electing the end of ground to defend and play will continue until the next score, That score will determine the winner...............No mention of Golden Point.... Look for > Section 6 { scoring tries and goals }...Deciding winners 2 B http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http...df&h=VAQFo5Tn3

2014 NRL Laws and Interpretations:
Drawn Game: "If scores are equal at the conclusion of
normal time, a period of extra time shall
follow whereby the first scorer of any point
or points will immediately be declared
the winner.
This will be for a maximum period of 10
minutes (5 minutes each half) except in Final
Series Matches.
If the scores are still level at the end of the
period of extra time, then the game shall be
declared a draw (except in Finals matches,
where the match will continue until such time
as one team scores a point or points.)."

Which is precisely what happened. Dogs scored first (before the 10 minute max occured), therefore they win. If neither of Manly or dogs scored in that 10 minute period it would have gone into extra, extra time until the first team scored. This is what happened in 2010 with Braith's FG. Scores were still level at the end of extra 10 minute time (golden point time) so they played extra time and SKD scored first - game over and fantastic Roosters win!Originally posted by Mr Chook View Post2014 NRL Laws and Interpretations:

Well apparently the Dogs knew of that rule and used it to their favour. I read an article online that jnr Grub told Snr grub about it and used it at a time when it was their last tackle at an important moment.Originally posted by mightyrooster View PostIf I were a Manly fan I'd be more annoyed at the stupid rule regarding a ball hitting a ref and gifting the ball back to the attacking team. What's to stop someone deliberately kicking near the ref to get an extra set of six?

Yep first scorer in extra time wins, no different to years gone by.Originally posted by mightyrooster View PostWhich is precisely what happened. Well they need to change that rule NOW. It would explain why all the bullcheat players were in the ref's face demanding the ball back when it happened.Originally posted by ROC181 View PostWell apparently the Dogs knew of that rule and used it to their favour.
