  • 2010 Goalkicker?

    Carney?

    Not many options...

Anasta has goal kicked before and I'm sure Pearce did as well when he played Jersey Flegg.

I'm more worried about try scorers - no real need for a goal kicker unless we score some tries for him to convert. It's not as if we ever receive many penalties.

True, but with most clubs boasting very good goalkickers nowadays, we'll be at a massive disadvantage if we have to rely on a part timer

And given that tries off kicks are generally scored out wide, and that's pretty much all we do, it becomes even more important

Doesn't SKD goalkick as well - assuming he's in first grade of course.

I'm sure Brian Smith has the goal kicking situation under control, him being the type to have all bases covered.

Jason Taylor must be spending his free time with someone.

SKD has been given an extra incentive to improve his goal kicking... Braith Anasta would be happy to do goal kicking if he remains at 5/8, lock comes with added defensive responsibilites...

I think Carney is the man

Carney was quiet the goal kicker at canberra, their first choice and was very accurate.

Round 5, Broncos vs Roosters 2009 - Anasta's goal kicking was decent?

                  1. Carney

                  Back-up = Anasta

                  Thats what i would do.

feels like grabbing at straws nominating braith too, fitzy has left a massive hole, cant imagine braith hitting them from the sidelines the way fitz did.

We're fine for try scorers imo

                        SKD 58 Games, 38 tries
                        Graham 111 Games, 68 tries
If Minichiello can stay fit that's another although a big if
Between Carney, Anasta and Pearce there's a fair amount of tries as well

Sure Perrett and Maubs aren't the most potent backs but our backline has some pretty good finishers in it.

Now all he needs to do is learn how to tackle.

Tackling is the easy part, learning to read that attack and knowing when to come in is the hard part. Hopefully it'll come with experience and a very strong current coaching staff...

Gee I hope they don't give the role to SKD. He already pisses me off in too many different ways without adding one more.
