  • Mini the miracle.

After his horrendous few years with injuries, it would be great for Mini to break the record for most games and going out as a two-time winning captain of the Roosters in consecutive years.

What a way for him to go out. If anyone can, he can with these team mates!

Anything less would be undeserving but I really hate hearing people talk about it.

    It's just tempting fate.

No you hate hearing about it because you had him pensioned off two years ago saying we would not win a competition with him still at fullback
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Yep... Duges should have replaced him in 2009. Premiership for sure :P

The timing of his retirement and the lift in attitude and performance is there to see. Masterstroke in my opinion. History is to be made for Mini and people will be cheering from the stands. Get behind the mighty surge coming from the Roosters. Have been playing mediocre all through the year, but the time has come to let the reins go and hang on for the ride.

Here we go, here we go, here we go!!!

Nobody is bigger than the game. It rarely gives out complete fairytales. Look at Freddy losing in '04 (though he did get the SOO that year). Still, if anybody deserves to go out a champ it's Mini.

Indeed, however, without the one, we cannot have the other.

Just enjoy his retirement for what it is, stop being such a precious bunch of sooks. I haven't said one negative thing about him since his retirement announcement and I'm not going to do so. Stop trying to bait me into irrelevant discussions.

Regardless of what anyone thought of Mini at the end of his career he's a legend of our club and deserves to go out as such.

Touch wood he makes the 300 club.

It seems that you are calling people precious cause they can read between the lines when you make 'positive' comments regarding Mini. There is always some underlying negativity in your comments. I can't understand why someone who is obviously well versed in the game, can be so one eyed when it comes to Minis role in the game. I would say there is only a handful of posters that feel like you while the rest, as well as Trent can see the value that mini brings to the team. Whether it's RTS, Fergo or even hayne playing at FB next season, we will miss Mini's bravery he brought to the game, for us. Nothing precious here, just grateful to have such a brave and loyal player in our team.

You mean people want to read between some bullshit lines just to stir up an argument.

I genuinely hope Mini makes the 300 mark because like I said earlier any less wouldn't be a fair reflection on what he's given our club. By nature I'm a superstitious supporter and I think all the mentioning of it is just tempting fate, if you & Andrew Walker think there's something negative in that then you're more deluded than you realise.

Mini is & always will be a Roosters legend.

Well now I'm deluded...ok I'll take that and I also read that Tommy Smith made a similar observation regarding your piece about Mini being on the wing or something to that extent...so maybe he's also deluded...?i know there are more but i wont name those who have the same opinion and we're not trying to start an argument, it's you that lives it open for it BUT only on this matter, because like I said, you have a sound knowledge of the game, as a fan, Except of course when it comes to Minis position at fullback, cause you've really missed the mark there.

Look... I think we can ALL agree that without Mini leading the way in the no.1 we wouldn't be reigning Premiers. Nor would we be in a position to go b2b.

He saved his best football for the final month in 2013. And he's currently playing his best football since his back injury.

Our leader. Our no. 1. Our inspiration. And still arguably our most important player.

Now lets send him out the way he deserves with another title so he can cement his legacy as our greatest post-War RWB legend.

In fairness to Rooster 6 he has been far from Minis worst detractor as he lead us to one premiership and possibly consecutive.

                              They know who they are.
