  • 2015 Player Transactions

The following 17 listed players are who I think the Roosters should sign, sell & re-sign for 2015.

The Main reason I have listed these players is because the Roosters need as much money as possible for 2015. Next year the Roosters, according to Zero Tackle have 15 players off-contract.

8 of those players I believe need to be re-signed in 2015, these include:
Jake Friend, Aidan Guerra, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, James Maloney, Dylan Napa, Frank-Paul Nu'uausala, Daniel Tupou & Jared Waerea-Hargreaves

    GAINS - 7 PLAYERS
    1. Blake Ferguson (Holiday - 3 Years)
    2. Raymond Faitala-Mariner (Warriors - 2 Years)
    3. Tyler Cornish (Roosters NYC - 2 Years)
    4. Jokatama Dokonivalu (Roosters NYC - 2 Years)
    5. Brendan Elliot (Roosters NYC - 2 Years)
    6. Jackson Hastings (Roosters NYC - 3yrs)
    7. Alex Thomas (Roosters NYC - 2 Years)

    LOSSES - 7 PLAYERS
    1. Sonny Bill Williams
    2. Daniel Mortimer
    3. Anthony Minichiello
    4. Tautau Moga
    5. Paul Rokolati
    6. Kem Seru
    7. Curtis Naughton

    RE-SIGN - 3 PLAYERS
    1. Saulala Houma (1 Year)
    2. Kurt Kara (2 Years)
    3. Heath L'Estrange (1 Year)

Who the hell is Raymond Faitala-Mariner?

And I think FPN and SKD might struggle to get another contract.

Something has to give we have too many stars off contract and those guys are the obvious ones to me.

We can free up some money by selling: Remi, Samisoni, Liu, Rhyse Martin, Jonathon Reuben, Jack Siejka & Sio Siua Taukeiaho (these are the other off-contract players next year). The salary cap will increase next year and we can possibly extend the contracts of FPN, SKD or anyone else this year.

      Raymond Faitala-Mariner: http://www.warriors.co.nz/content/wa...a-mariner.html

We should sign someone like him for some depth.

I agree Fitzy. When the cap starts to bite, I believe those two will be the first on the chopping block.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

          Here's looking at you, kid.

It's not even June 30 and we're talking about next year. This mid-season signing for next year crap is ridiculous.

Not that I give a crap about the Dogs but how do the other players feel playing with Ennis who's saying bye bye next year?

Ennis was shown the door by the club mate and this is PROFESSIONAL football, players come and players go it's just how things are

Well, there you go, I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up. Consider my belief in club loyalty neatly tucked into the envelope containing Anthony Minichello's retirement speech.

I don't think we'll do to badly with SBW, Mini, Morts and others leaving. That'd free up close to a million in the cap, along with the cap rises.

Our only big signing would be Fergo and he'd be pretty cheap anyway.

Friend, Toops, Maloney, Jared and Guerra should all be getting sizable upgrades next season.

SKD, Liu and Napa would probably be the next most important re-signings.

I'm a fan of the skillful backrower like SST so perhaps he or or Martin would also be worth re-signing.

However this isn't important until next year, so we should be all good.
