The 6 weeks came straight out of our doctors mouth my mate is a chiropractor and one of his closest mates who Also was involved with the club a few years back himself.Originally posted by fletch View Postsome conflicting reports, have heard he has 6 weeks to try and strengthen the affected area enough to play and will require off season surgery, a bit like Watmough playing with a torn bicep, as long a pain can be managed and strength and function is maintained surgery can be delayed but required later.

Knowing our luck he is gone for the season but if it was Inglis, it would be 1-2 weeks.Exonerate the West Memphis Three - www.wm3.org

Actually I think our luck has held up pretty well these past 18 months.
You don't win Premierships without luck. And we were at full strength for last years GF with Cords coming back just in time.
And this year we've survived so far relatively unscathed. We even had our halves dropped!
In 2003 we had dogshit luck. Sandcorp ended Hodgo's season. It also sidelined Fity for two months. Freddy also played the last month of the competition with one arm after being dropped on his head by Puletua. That was an unlucky second half to the season which cost us the Premiership.
So far in 2014 our luck is holding up as well as it probably could over a long season.

http://www.roosters.com.au/news/2014..._jennings.htmlRoosters Medical Staff have this afternoon informed us that scans have today confirmed that centre Michael Jennings has sustained a tendon tear of the left lat dorsi.
Surgery is not required for the NSW Blues star however he is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks, with an anticipated return somewhere between Rounds 19-21, not the remainder of the 2014 Season as reported.

important that it was a tear and not a rupture as first feared, all down to how quickly the tendon heals now.
seeing that MacDonald/Moga aren't defensively ready to play centre and I doubt Robbo would want to disrupt RTS's development the logical choice will be Maubs to replace Jennings, the main question will be whether he uses Stranger on the bench to give Friend a rest or just go for the 4 big boppers.

The article says that "unfortunately will not be available for SOO3".
Unfortunately ?? ...I say GOOD !
6 weeks ...of which there are 2 byes, so really 4 games. All in all not a bad outcome given that yesterday they were talking about season ending !

He could also possibly play an edge forward/centre (Taukeiaho/Langi/Martin) on the bench with three middle forwards and if Friend needed a rest or was injured move one of them to centre and Aubbo to hooker. Very hard to rotate four props/locks properly without one getting virtually no game time, and then what is Plan B if Friend gets hurt.Originally posted by fletch View Postimportant that it was a tear and not a rupture as first feared, all down to how quickly the tendon heals now.

It will be Maubs to centre for sure. Robbo always uses him if either are out so that's an easy selection.
On the bench 'utility' spot, would Langi be an option to cover the halves, centre back row and also give Jake a rest if needed. I think he'd offer more at 9 then what Aubbo would.
