Everyone knows that Pearce was given a week and a 20k fine for refusing to leave a pub. It's been reported that the Integrity Unit passed down a recommendation of 2 weeks but the Roosters were able to talk them down because that would've included SOO.

Some of you may have read this story two weeks ago (but probably a lot haven't because the extent of it is 1 article in a newspaper as opposed to the circus that surrounded the Pearce story) but anyway Kirisome Auva'a (Souths centre) pleaded guilty two weeks back in court to assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

The court heard he had been at a friend's wedding before arriving at his former girlfriend's home about 1.40am on January 18.

The pair had recently split following a three year relationship and she told Auva'a he could sleep on her couch, sparking his violent outburst.

The court heard Auva'a flew into a rage, waking terrified housemates who phoned 000, before attacking his ex-girlfriend.

He pushed her over, punched holes in walls at the home and swung her into a garage wall, fleeing before police arrived.

His punishment? Well anyone who has watched Souths two games after his guilty plea will know he hasn't missed a game but Souths & the NRL seem to be fine with this because;

He said the club had been quick to discipline Auva'a, imposing a $2000 fine and suspending him for 7 days.

Souths suspended him back in January when they were notified, amazingly they were allowed to bring him back just 3 weeks later. (The NRL Integrity commission signed off on it)

He should be stood down until the case is heard in November.

I don't know as out that but I do know that that penalty avalanche Souths received late in the fist half against the Warriors was amazing. Four in a row or something. It completely derailed the other lot.

Also I had to laugh when the NRL tried to talk the eels into moving their home game against $ouff$, from parra to ANZ, which is the home ground of $ouff$, because the eels are undefeated at pirtek stadium.

I can't wait to see how many weeks f***wit garlick gives JWH. garlick has let so many $ouff$ players off this year and always loves to give it to us when given the slightest of opportunity!

Correct BP!! $ouff$ have scored more tries off the back of penalties than any other team in the comp, and they get given a f***ing $hitload of them too! When the warriors had the momentum their way and were in front, it took penalties given to $ouff$ to change the game and for them to score on the back of.

Frankly, I distance myself from the game over matters such as this. This Souffs bloke is 1 step from gaol and the NRL allows a 7 day suspension as punishment. Joke.

I said previously this year in a post that if it wasn't for the Roosters, I wouldn't watch another game of RL. Perhaps the Roosters can find another sport to play. God, I love the Roosters.

Ben Fordham spoke about it on his drive show on 2GB 2 weeks ago...apparently he beat the shit out of his girlfriend....in her statement she spoke about the violent physical assault as well as the ongoing emotional damage she has suffered.

Fordham thought the punishment handed out by souths was disgraceful and challenged the integrity committee to revisit the case considering his guilty plea.....

I would be shocked if it got any legs.

Hi Axe - I agree with you - it is bewildering that the NRL has not done anything - quite frankly they have no integrity. They and Souffs smothered the Teo incident last year whilst the Crown casino deal was being done recently Greenberg was under the microscope a man of no integrity so no wonder Sonny wanted out of the Dogs.You mention the media not picking it up but what Gyngell did to Pearce via his channel 9 lynching was diabolical so to keep him out of the newspapers after his tiff with non other than Packer from Souffs.
Ooh yeah seems like it's all gone quite on the Souffs cares charity rorting Medicare. It stinks to high heaven and people thought Arko was bad when he was the ARL boss.
