  • Beware the wounded eagles

Personally, I'd much prefer to have Brett Stewart, Keiren Foran, Jason King and Jorge Tafaua available tomorrow night. No team in the NRL handle adversity, better than Manly. To defeat them 5 times in a row, is rare. The last time a Roosters team defeated Manly in five consecutive matches was in 1974-5-6. Easts beat Manly 6 times in a row during the mid seventies.
It's hard to get a grip on our form. Hammered in round one, easily best the wooden spooners, and were fortunate to defeat Brisbane.
With Manly well below strength, the Roosters deserve to start favourites. Bookmakers have them at prohibitive odds of $1.45, and giving the eagles 7.5 start.
This again will be a close contest. I think Manly will rally, and cause the upset.

I've got to say that I'm sick of hearing about how tough Manly are, If we play well tomorrow night I reckon we'll blow them away. We are so much better than them, they should be fearing us not the other way around. Us by 20+ tomorrow.

The Roosters still have major issues to address. They are the only team in the NRL, who haven't scored a try off a kick this year, and are still getting hammered in the penalties. Roosters won't win by 20 tonight, I'd settle for a one point win.

We probably haven't scored off a kick because we haven't run out of options running the ball yet.

Fortunately for us tonight, Manly are almost as bad as us in the penalty department.

The not scoring from kicks thing is as much of a concern as the not forcing dropouts issue of 2013.

If try's are being scored without 'em - and they are - then it's less of an issue.

But I do take your point, our execution needs improvement in that area, no doubt.

Roosters have beaten mandy 5 times in 2013. I pre season, and four regular rounds.

                      6 in a row and +20

Nice pick brother I knew you'd get it.

Frank Burns eats worms, one of the funniest characters ever IMO.

I am still a huge MASH fan. My wind down show.

                          Hilarious.

I was gonna use the old "knobs" call but we've had enough tears this week.

There will be several changes to Manly's side tonight. Symonds, Tafaua, Stewart have trained all week, and will be given until the last hour to prove their fitness.
