Pearce had a blinder against the Eels. With the confidence of having won the GF, I am tipping him to be our best this year. The signs were there in the 9's and against the Eels he was just dominant. He is also one of our only players to actually have had an off-season of any significance which will certainly help.

On a side note, it seems that a lot of our team play better with SBW out of action. I certainly don't think we are a better team without SBW, but there have been plenty of occassions where we have played better without him. Not sure if the other players just think they need to step up when he is not there or whether they feel a compulsion to give him the ball so much when he is there on the field due to his god-like status.

Either way, good signs for next year. I think TR's game plan this year will revolve less around SBW.
