He was such a dominant player in the lower grades that it's hard to understand just where it all went wrong. I thought he was going to be our strike centre for years.
I guess it didn't help that he came into first grade at a time when the team was in decline. With every loss he seemed to lose confidence, struggled with injuries and all the good parts of his game withered until the only thing left was the occasional bell-ringer in defence.
A definite case of what could have been.Comment
